Our home is located within easy distance to the lakes region and the White Mountain region. Minutes from parks, restaurants and dining, and art and culture. You’ll step back in time with the ambiance offered by Victorian architecture, once prevalent in this old NH mill town, close to Proctor Academy, Tilton School as well as outlet shopping. Ideal for couples and outdoor enthusiasts and, of course, business travelers.

The space

Our first room is a large bedroom with four-poster queen size bed located on the second floor right off a shared reading nook and is situated in the turret of the home. It has a large connecting bathroom that has both a shower and a Victorian claw foot bath tub. The room also has a fireplace which is always filled with candles for additional ambiance.

Guest access

We are very flexible with regard to sharing the rest of the common areas of our home. Reasonable access to our kitchen is available as long as we are not entertaining and will advise you of this upon your reservation booking. We have a generous outside space as well as two porches with white wicker furniture for fair weather enjoyment.

Interaction with guests

We strive to provide information for our guests regarding local attractions and services and will very happy to find anything that would be of specific interest.

Other things to note

Although we do have a resident indoor cat, Summer, we do not permit guests to bring their pets during their stay with us.

Don't even second guess it, just book this place!! This historic home is amazing, and Sally Jane and Mark are the best!! So accommodating, welcoming and gracious, you wont want to leave. The room was perfect, clean, private and the bed was so comfortable. Easy to find and close to all sorts of great restaurants.

Sally and her husband gave us a great and pleasurable experience. Room was very nice and quiet, and has antique style. Victorian bathtub was amazing as well. Sally also prepared us a delicious American-style breakfast which me and my wife enjoyed so much. She and her husband made sure we had everything we needed. Great experience, and will most likely stay again.

Absolutely wonderful time visiting with Sally and Mark. What wonderful folks. And MY GOODNESS what a breakfast. WOW! Such a sweet, wonderful couple to spend time conversing with. AND what an immaculate Victorian home! WOW again! Incredible bedroom and private bathroom. You would never know you're "in town" here, or have ANY neighbors. Such a beautiful place, beautiful area above town, and again, an incredible home. THANK YOU BOTH! It truly was a pleasure staying with Sally and Mark. Chuck & Dani

Sally Jane and her husband have an amazing victorian home which they lovingly restored and share with others. It surpassed all the historical museums we visited. And their warm hospitality was perfect.

A charming Victorian home, and a wonderful couple who go well out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. A wonderful breakfast, graciously served. Franklin is an interesting old mill town with a slew of hiking possibilities, and decent shopping and dining options. Don't miss the Tilton Diner - a terrific deal.
