Interaction with guests
Myself or someone closeby will be here to greet you when you arrive, hand you your keys and show you around a little bit. We are available on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and mobile 24hrs a day. Nairobi is a city where you want 24hr big sister/brother service and we are there for you!
Other things to note
Nairobi is a great city but it is also a city of extremes. When you leave the flat or when you go to sleep at night, please remember to lock all doors leading to the outside. Security is key in this city.
There are 2 day guards on patrol until 6pm and 2 night guards until 6am every day. There is a 24hr electric fence surrounding the compound. There is a number that you will see on your guidelines to call the security gate if ever you have a problem, or if you are having a guest come over, warning them in advance. When you move in the best thing to do is to introduce yourself to the day and nights guards and let them know you now live on the compound. Do not give them any more info than that, and never give them your housekeys. Access to the flat is reserved to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), the househelp, myself and my team only.
Kindly never give your keys to anyone else. And if you lose or misplace them, alert us immediately as it is our responsibility to keep you and your (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) safe as much as possible.
Kindly never open the front door to anyone that you do not know, whether they sound nice or not.
The best way to be safe in this city is to be nice to people. So smile at the security guards and be polite, same for cleaning staff. Karma.....when you are liked, you are not a target. Works for me!
- Smoking is allowed on balconies only
- No candles allowed in the flat
- Lightbulbs to be replaced only by us, please...question of power consumption and light fitting breakages
- Due to Nairobi security issues, dinner parties are fine in the flat but no big parties
- Keys to the flat should NEVER be given to anyone, not friends, not security guards, not colleagues
- If keys are lost or misplaced let us know immediately.
- Do not open the front door for anyone that you are not expecting and/or do not know.
Kenya is my home. Montreal is my heart. Food is my love. I host with my Italian roots, welcoming, warm, no expenses spared....like you're family. And my crazy Quebecois love of life, so your stay with me will most likely include some element of fun!
Meeting new people is like breathing air for me, it inspires me, makes me smile and teaches me to be a better person. The world is there for us to live it and love it, and so why not take the chance and do just that!
