Super comfy 1924 bungalow in the quiet Mango Groves neighborhood. Sometimes called the next Key West, it's a quick 2 block walk to downtown's great restaurants, bars, shops and a well known local playhouse. The beach is an easy 5 minute drive and features it's own great restaurants and shops as well as picnic areas. Time for golf? The public course is right on the intracoastal waterway only 5 minutes away. Take a break from the sun or start your day relaxing on our covered patio!

The space

Our home was recently remodeled and features solid oak floors and plenty of large windows for natural light; a full kitchen complete with dishes and cookware; a cozy living room with ample seating, a convertible sofa, and a 42" TV with HD cable; the bedroom has a queen size bed with a comfy memory foam mattress, 4 drawer antique dresser and two large closets; the den has a great desk for setting up your laptop and a comfortable chair for reading; the full bathroom has 2 doors making it easily accessible from the hallway or the bedroom; hi speed broadband is available via WIFI throughout the house.

If you need to wash a few things, feel free to do so in our full size washer and dryer. No coins required!

Take time to relax on our covered patio and enjoy your morning coffee at our bistro set while you complement the ocean breezes with the convenient ceiling fan. You can also enjoy the patio at night as it is fully lighted.

Take note of the native plantings in the front yard and enjoy the many different species of butterflies and birds they attract. These are just some of the plants that would've been seen in Lake Worth before imported exotics became popular.

Guest access

You have full access to the property. The full size washer and dryer are located in the rear building. During your stay, feel free to use the available storage.

But, there are always a couple of practical things:
Keep the space neat and clean and do your own laundry and dishes during your visit. At check out, we will take care of the sheets and towels but dirty dishes may not be left in the sink. Please wipe the kitchen sink and surfaces clean of food. Dispose of any perishable food in the refrigerator and any opened food you are not taking with you. If you have any unopened food that you are not taking with you, please leave it and we will donate it to a local food pantry. During your stay, please take out the trash and roll the container to the curb if it is trash day.

We had a wonderful stay in Tom and Paola's Lake Worth bungalow. The photos provided here are 100% true to life. The house is recently remodeled and the decor is beautiful, breezy and appropriately beachy. Tom is a considerate host and is as available as needed. He provided detailed information via the app messaging tool on check-in and amenities. The house was stocked with bottled water, coffee, tea and sugar for guest use. We also had access to beach chairs, which was great and saved money on rentals. The house has a great covered porch and is located on a quiet, residential street. That said, the bungalow is walkable to the main drag of restaurants and cafes in Lake Worth and is about a five minute drive to the beach. We didn't experiment with public transit, but also never had trouble finding a parking space. The spot in front of the house was always available. We had a great time and would happily stay there again on future visits to the Palm Beach area.

The cottage was prefect for my husband and myself. We have been very comfortable here. Love the location...allows you to park the car and walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. Thomas has been a great host and we hope to be using his cottage again in the future!!

It is very simple to deal with Tom. The week before arrival, he answered to all my questions on activities and general accomodations of the house. The description of the listing is accurate. I would add that there is accessible transportation (no car needed) in order to easily travel between West Palm Beach until Miami South Beach. The house is beautiful, clean and well maintained. It is my first experience on Airb&b and I would say that Tom put the bar pretty high.

Our trip to Lake Worth could not have been better! Tom's Bungalow was charming, clean and a huge part of the trip. He made us feel welcome and was available whenever needed. We would love to visit the Bungalow in the future!

Thomas was a wonderful host. Before arriving he sent me a list of 4th of July festivities and offered help with anything else. I was traveling from out of town and had some issues on my way over. When we arrived Thomas had left snacks and drinks for us for comfort after a long day. The house was clean and looked exactly like the photos. We really enjoyed our stay here. After we left, Thomas found a charger that we had left behind and he immediately offered to mail it to us.

Entrepreneur and traveller... Built and sold 2 businesses and working on a third.. Spent a lot of time sailing in the Caribbean.. Try to get to at least one new city a year.. Prefer blending in when I travel and hitting locals spots but always willing to hit a tourist trap if it…
