The host was speedy to reply and sweet in general. The location was great and really close to the Underground. Very peaceful, although the pub visitors outside the window downstairs can get noisy. The flat is very basic and seemed decorated with a tight budget. Only very basic amenities. Best for stays when you wish to get around the city a lot because location is the best feature of this listing.

What a fantastic location! Incredibly quiet but only five minutes from the hustle and bustle of Upper Street and near to the canal for lovely walks. The flat has all the basics you need for a short stay and importantly the bed was really comfortable! Jonjo was a great communicator, responding immediately to texts and his nan - who lives downstairs - was lovely and helpful.

Jonjo is a fantastic communicator. I didn't get to meet him because he was out of town for a gig but we were greeted by his lovely mom, Tracy. The apartment is in an awesome location in Angel/ Islington. It's a super short walk to tons of restaurants, cafes, vintage shops, record shops, movie theater, etc. it's located just next to and above a local pub. The pub closes early and has strict rules that its guest must abide by so there's no disruption there. The apartment is older and very practical. Just the bear bones- which is nice. No clutter or personal items. Jonjo was kind enough to 'sort' a blow dryer for my stay because my US dryer doesn't work in the UK. It's a clean and quiet apartment. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is very clean. There isn't any wifi which could be an issue for those traveling abroad without travel phone plans but it didn't bother us. There's a nice little TV that we watched before bed. I'm an Airbnb host myself and I'm currently pregnant... which both happen to make me pretty picky about where I sleep. I would stay here again and I recommend it to other travelers. It's nothing fancy but it's a great place for a great price in a great location.

The flat is very well located in a lovely area in the heart of Angel, less than 5 minutes walk from the tube, shops, bars and restaurants. The flat is basic but was adequate for what I needed and is a good size for a couple. Jonjo was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. He wanted to make sure I had everything I needed and gave me suggestions of where to go locally. I would stay at Jonjo's flat again.

Fantastic stay at this apartment in Angel. Great location, minutes walk from the underground, a beautiful quiet street and a friendly quiet pub next door. Jonjo even left us a bottle of wine for our arrival and was very flexible with us collecting the key and checking out. I highly recommend it.
