Betsy was very communicative with check-in and help throughout our stay. She provides guests with a ton of information regarding Acadia, and the Ellsworth area. (Places to eat, things to do, park details). She provided recycle and compost options. This place is perfect for couples, and those who love the outdoors. Thanks again, Betsy!

Ellsworth downtown is a few minute walk!! Cool restaurants close by. Betsy and Doug were such gracious hosts and they made sure the annex was well stocked and filled with resources for the area. We loved the cozy New England studio with a good sized full kitchen. Acadia and Bar Harbor are only 30 to 40 minute drive. Definitely highly recommended!! You'll admire the 1830ish house next to the annex.

My husband and I stayed two nights and really appreciated the care and attention to detail that Betsy and Doug have put into their space. They clearly thought things through at length--there were an array of maps and guides to Acadia and Mt. Desert Island, a big bag of rain gear to borrow, a well-appointed kitchen, a super luxurious and cozy bed, interesting books, menus for local food, etc etc! We enjoyed a quick visit with our hosts as well, and they gave us great info on navigating Acadia, which contribute for to us having a truly magical day on Mt. Desert Island! We liked the location and the town of Ellsworth, especially after visiting tourist trappy Bar Harbor--it fit our style. But for those interested, the town is a bit run down and certainly not polished, and a good 40 minute drive from many a destination on MDI.

Very charming space. Great place to stay if you are in and around Acadia. Wish we had more time to enjoy the space than just a quick stop over. Betsy has a lot of thoughtful touches such as a first aid kit, maps, rain gear, backpack and other items to use around Acadia. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying at Betsy's place was great! It was a nice quiet location just a block off of Main Street with a very short walk to downtown Ellsworth. She made our stay very comfortable with the loan of a backpack and rain gear for two! There were two books covering local attractions and places to eat that were very helpful! Betsy also provides some basics such as coffee, eggs, and a few things in the freezer for her guests. The bed was super comfy. We loved staying here and would definitely return if in the area again.

Hi! My husband Doug and I live in our 1830s brick house on a tree-lined street in an historic area of downtown Ellsworth. He is a builder, I am a massage therapist. We love to walk to our local pub, the cafe/bakery, to the waterfront park, and to downtown shops! We enjoy helping visitors access and enjoy Acadia National Park and all the towns and villages in our area. When we travel somewhere, we like to find out about the area we're in and feel like we live there. We like to share insider information with our guests, and we will be happy to help you feel like you live here! We love this area of the planet and our corner of Maine. No matter the weather, we say, "Every day is a great day, because we're in Maine".
