Wild Grace Cottage is close to forest walking trails. Plenty of quiet solitude for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers who need a "time out". Your bedroom suite includes a sitting room with two chairs, two tables, desk, bookshelf and small kitchen nook with refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, hot plate and toaster oven. No wi-fi. Great back porch. Campfire circle. Roomy classroom you can use right next door.

The space

In addition to your apartment-like suite with private entrance, our carpeted 24' x 24' classroom right next door is available for special needs such as: use of large tables for crafts and sewing (no paint), space for movement or meditation activities, and a massage table. There is a campfire circle outdoors too. No extra charge.

Guest access

You will have a very private space (bedroom, sitting room, bathroom, classroom, porch and yard) with your own private entrance as I will be at the house next door during your stay. Use of the classroom is free of charge as stated above.

Interaction with guests

I usually leave guests to themselves after our initial meeting.

Other things to note

Wild Grace is on a narrow gravel road, so drive slowly and carefully. There is plenty of parking space at the Cottage. If renting in winter, you might need four wheel drive if it snows.

Pros: Place was nice! Surrounding area is beautiful, remote. Value was quite good! Carol was awesome and accommodating. Cons: The place appeared to not have been stayed in recently, so it could have been in a bit better cleaner condition. There were a couple of minor inconveniences (couldn't easily locate a towel for the shower, place was a bit buggy, water smelled quite intensely of sulfur). Again, these were minor and the stay was certainly priced accordingly! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Response from Carol:
I always point out where the towels are kept when I show the guests the rooms. Water does have a sulphur smell sometimes even though it is filtered. I supply bottled water for drinking however. "Bugs" must mean wasps who like to get in the windows. I'll be more diligent with spraying to keep them away.

Response from Carol:
Forest creatures live in the forest. Seems like some folks don't realize that.

This was a fabulous stay. The area is so quiet and peaceful. I loved the little swing by the pond. A great place for peace and quiet! The bed was super comfortable. Beautiful views from every window. A short drive into the city if you want to go into town.

If you're looking for peace of mind, far from the crowded city. This would be the place to go. Simple and to the point furnishings. Everything you need is there. The town of Nashville is not far away. Bring flashlights if you arrive at night. It's dark out there. Staying there with the full moon beaming through the trees was pure magic. Loved it.

Response from Carol:
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It is, indeed, magical here. I should probably provide flashlights and candles for emergency electricity outages. However, having to enjoy the darkness can be a blessing too. I like for people's experience to be a bit out of the ordinary in a good way. Come again soon.

Carol's home was secluded and uniquely furnished. It was a long and beautiful drive to her home from main roads. I was comfortable and happy during my entire stay. Beautiful art around the house to gaze at. Carol was accommodating and offered more than expected. I would stay again!

Response from Carol:
Thanks Courtney. I do hope you will come again; it's pretty beautiful in the fall. Thanks for your excellent cleanup, especially taking the trash too! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I am an artist, author and minister of the Church of the Earth Nation. My favorite guests are people who deeply explore the journey of their soul and relationship to Mother Earth. I see creatively doing what you love as the path to bliss. I have led personal empowerment groups since 1976 and helped people design homes which nourish their soul. My space is small, simple and peaceful where "time out for contemplation" is the default mode. If you are looking for a break from "too busy-ness", this is the place for you.
