We loved Paris & Caroline's apartment was a comfortable, central location point. The pizza restaurant directly below was convenient and delicious however the other restaurants & street noise didn't make for the best sleep! Plenty of supermarkets nearby. We really enjoyed this area of Paris as a base.

Caroline was very helpful when I arrived at her apartment, as I was a little disoriented from the flight, she stayed on the phone with me to make sure I got to her apartment safe. In addition, she had a welcome note with using the appliances at her home. Super thoughtful and helpful especially for my dad. When I couldn't connect to wi-fi, she'd sent msgs on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) to ask if everything was ok and was flexible with the time we "checked out" of the apartment, due to our late return flight. I love how Caroline decorated her studio apartment with warm lighting. Surrounded by 2 very good and popular restaurants, the area is always buzzing at dinner time and during the weekends, which is great if you want to experience the Parisian life! I'd definitely request to stay at Caroline's place again during my next solo trip to Paris. Thank you so much, Caroline!

Response from Caroline:
Rebecca, Really sorry about the wifi, I checked when I came back and realized I made a mistake on the code ... I changed it on the welcome note. I hope you enjoyed your stay and again am really sorry for the inconvenience.

Caroline is very prompt in answering my queries prior to our arrival in Paris. She even reviewed the itinerary that I prepared and gave valuable insights on how to make the most of our stay in Paris. When we arrived in her flat, she was already waiting for us and even had a bottle of wine as a welcome token. That was so sweet of her. She gave us a quick tour of her place and pointed us to nearby places to eat before she turned over her flat to us. Her flat is very spacious and clean and looks exactly in the photos. Internet wifi is very fast and stable which is very important for us. We are glad that she also had a printer thus we were able to print our boarding pass for our flight out of Paris. Her kitchen is very functional and complete with the necessary cookware and flatware Caroline even offered for us to use condiments already available in her pantry so we do not need not buy. We enjoyed hooking our ipods to her sound system. The bed is very comfortable, so is the three seater sofa. The bathroom is very clean with enough hot water, sufficient counter space for our toiletries and well ventilated. Her flat is very strategically located. A few minutes walk from the nearest Metro. Around the neighborhood are numerous restaurants, bars and convenience stores. It was definitely a good decision to choose Caroline’s flat for the Paris leg of our trip. We strongly recommend staying here.

I highly recommend this apartment. Here are the finer details: Caroline is a gracious, wonderful host and took care of almost all of our needs. She even had a bottle of wine from a local shop welcoming us when we came in! I appreciated her very detailed house instructions. Her instructions on using the euro wash machine was knowledge I took to other countries where I couldn't understand the words but recognized the symbols—a real lifesaver! She communicates very well, and responds quickly to emails. Her recommendations for local bars and restaurants are also very reliable. The apartment is fairly "spacious" (and I say this according to Paris standards, ie I didn't have to walk sideways to get through a hallway). It accommodated my friend and me—two single guys—sufficiently . It is well kept, very clean, and has all the proper necessities. The apartment is also chicly decorated, the sofa and other seating is comfy. Her washing machine also dries—bonus points! No TV, but if that's a concern, you shouldn't even be in Paris. The bed, pillows and sheets are also clean and comfy. My friend and I took turns between the bed and sofa every other night. That said, the sofa is like a wide love seat, so as a tall person, I had a pretty rough time trying to crash on the couch. I had to pull the cushions out and lay them on the floor so I could fully extend my body. Temperature-wise (in late september) the apartment kept fairly warm and was not too cold, even at night. I did have to sleep without a blanket, however. The bathroom was clean and has the proper necessities. The shower, sink, and toilet were in good working order and also clean. Also worth noting that the floors were clean. Caroline had two clean towels ready for us. There was plenty of room over the sink for our sets of toiletries. Only trouble I had was in the small shower because my arms kept hitting the shower knob accidentally, sending it either to extreme hot or extreme cold, and my elbows kept hitting the wall. But that is probably just me and my general awkwardness in Paris showers. If you have a smaller frame you'll probably be just fine. Personally, I love the neighborhood. The actual neighbors in the building weren't loud or obtrusive. On occasion, you could hear the restaurant downstairs tossing what sounded like garbage bags and bottles into a garbage bin in the early morning. Also, on the front facing street you occasionally hear the loud motor of scooters zipping by. But thats nothing compared to other streets in the city where the ruckus of partying Parisians will keep you up till dawn—I've had that experience staying at Marriott's. Here, you could actually sleep peacefully with the windows open. Within walking distance are plenty of grocery shops, a bank, pharmacy, as well as awesome bars, restaurants, cafés (goes without saying). Metro stations are also really close.
