Rodolphe and his family are wonderful hosts. This was by far my favorite home to stay in in all of Iceland. Rodolphe and his children kept us company, told us all about the area, and made sure we felt at home. The view from our room was beautiful, and the view from the front of the house was unbelievable. The flat is tidy, comfortable, and welcoming. Incredible host family and incredible location. Thank you so much!!!

Rodolphe and his family were very welcoming. The family lives upstairs and the downstairs is setup with private rooms and a large common area with a kitchen and couches. Rodolphe shared his great passion for Iceland with us and and another traveler well into each evening. The comfortable guest area of the house has a very complete library of books on Iceland and its culture and natural wonders in English, French, and Icelandic. When I showed interest in Nordic cooking, Rudolphe went upstairs and brought down a couple of cookbooks from his private library. He also pointed out several good hikes and roads to take throughout the fjords. Our stay at the Sudavik Guesthouse was integral to the success of the rest of our trip. We'll be back.

We had a very pleasant stay here! Check in was a breeze. Rodolphe and his kids greeted us warmly, we felt so welcomed. Our bedroom was fantastic, new bedsheets with very nice smell, we instantly felt at home. Rodolphe is a great host too. He gave us tips and guide and attractions to visit in Westfjords. His son & daughter are both very friendly we played card one of the nights we stayed. Very clean, big bathroom and overall very good place to stay. Recommended!

Rodolphe's home was perfect for our visit-comfortable beds, clean bathroom and spacious great room and kitchen. Tremendous views from all windows. Rodolphe offered useful ideas about where to go and what to see, and he had a number of books about Iceland ranging from language to food to hot springs. Convenient location and very personable family.

Comfortable and nicely-done; we slept very well! We booked a bedroom with our own bathroom which was great. We didn't use the kitchen except for tea but it looked like it had everything one would need. Rodolphe and his son Matys gave us many tips about hiking and other activities, including the Blueberry Festival that was taking place. Rodolphe also recommended Torajhusid (spelling?) restaurant in nearby Islafjorder which was an excellent experience. If you're heading to the West Fjords, this is a great place to stay.
