About this listing

We are in the Algiers Point Historical District, a time capsule from 1897. The house is no more then a 15 minute stroll from the Canal St. ferry, which offers a spectacular ride across the river to the French Quarter every half hour.. You’ll love my place because of the location, the archetecture, the moss-bearded oak trees, and mostly the genteel Southern ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

We did not have the opportunity to meet Joey but his communication and instructions were good and clear. In the house you can find all essential amenities. The accomodation is located in the lovely district of Algiers Point where there is a quick ferry service connecting it to the main sights in New Orleans.

The house is in a good location, just a 2 minute walk to get into New Orleans by ferry though you need to check the times of the ferry before you leave. Weekend times are later. Another plus is the house which is over 100 years old and you do feel that you stepping back into history. Joey has plenty of beds and the verandah is nice for sitting outside. Inside the facilities are basic but adequate for just a few nights. We didn't meet Joey but he was very good at keeping in contact with us and offered help for anything we needed.

The home was everything we expected. It was very roomy and spacious that our large group had a great time. 15 quick minute walk to the ferry was nice and very convenient. In a nice and quiet neighborhood. Our pal Joey was very responsive to all our questions and very helpful for our trip. We really loved the beads too!
