Built in the 1720's the house has gone through many transformations, we have converted it from three individual houses back to its original one house.
You have your own private room with tea/coffee making facilitates, TV with DVD, en suite with parabane free toiletries . You have the use of a sitting room and a computer, we have an extensive collection of books and DVD's. For the sports enthusiast, Ireland is green because it rains, so we have a supply of hats, jackets and umbrellas to borrow and our large utility room is fitted out to enable drying of outdoor clothes.

We live in the house, and have a family run Bar so we are here to help, advise or leave to your own devices the choice is yours.

Newport is situated on the famous Wild Atlantic Way, a stunning route on Ireland's western coast.
Newport is the perfect base for magnificent hikes in the Nephin Beg Mountain range, and for the casual walker there are also loop walks on your doorstep.
Ballycroy National Park, an area of outstanding beauty and wilderness, has recently received International Gold Standard Dark Sky's accreditation.
Newport is "The Heart of the Great Western Greenway", an award-winning 45 km off-road cycle track.Bicycles can be rented locally from Greenway Bicycle Hire.
Newport is situated on a tidal estuary allowing for activities such as Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddle boarding from its Quay. Newport Splash holds supervised children water-based activities throughout the summer.
Fresh water fishing license available at Newport House Hotel. Sea angling excursions can be arranged with Clew Bay Charters.
