I really had a great time. Everything was new and modern, very clean and on the other hand the sleeping place with futon etc gave you the feeling of a real traditional japanese living experience that matches perfectly with kyoto. I really enjoyed my stay and would come to this place again. Ace and his mother are super friendly and helped me whenever I had a question.

The place was more than the pictures. Close to train station (Shichijo st. - Keihan line) and bus stop (Nanajo keihan-mae). Bathroom and shower very modern and clean! Sleeping space is more spacious than I thought and futon is surprisingly comfortable (I like my mattress hard). Ace is very friendly, helpful for sightseeing information, and speaks English very well. Thoroughly enjoyed my nights here and will absolutely recommend to everyone looking to enjoy Kyoto.

I stayed there for only one night but I couldn't imagine it better. Everything was clean and nice, room is perfect for one person and location is very handy.

One of the best hostels during my travels in Japan. There's so much space in the dorms , it's like a private hotel room, especially as the capsule locks individually. I had so much fun chatting in the common areas at the end of my day. The location isn't in the Geisha district but it's right beside the station, 20 mins walk to kyoto station and 35 minutes walk to Gion. I liked it right away so I was happy when I could extend my stay.

Ace User ProfileAce is a superhost.

Ace is originally from Tokyo. 10 years ago, Ace finally left Japan for seeking the truth of human-beings and the world. Ace firstly went to India and worked at Mother Teresa's house till the patients began to call him "Uncle". Then Ace went to Nepal, Pakistan and other countries. Meeting so many people with totally different backgrounds, and seeing so many incredible scenes; Ace has learned so many things. Ace normally stays in a place for long 'cause there's one truth. "The more we see, the more we find." But Japan is too expensive to stay longer, especially for young travelers. Ace wanted to make a cheap but special guesthouse for them. (Also for money, of course) That's WIND VILLA. But one thing.....Ace doesn't know much about Kyoto...
