Riccardo and his wife have a very nice bed and breakfast. The house with the surrounding park like garden really has a lot of charme! We enjoyed our stay very much.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE CONSIDERING THE VILLA: We booked this place to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, but our stay here was terrible. The first thing that caught our attention was the overwhelming smell when we first entered. It smelled like an old church mixed with a damp basement. Next we realized that on the AIRBNB website it was listed as 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. However, we only got 3 bedrooms (we rented the entire house), all of them were upstairs, and the third bathroom was downstairs (and very tiny), which was very inconvenient. We were also told that the front door does not lock, which made us uncomfortable. Next we discovered that we were given 2 towels and 3 bathrobes for 5 people. We were confused as to why we only had 2 towels, so we politely called the owners, apologized for disturbing them and asked for extra towels. In response to this, the English speaking owner sent over his wife who spoke only Italian. We didn’t know if she was yelling or just talking very aggressively at us because we could not tell what she was saying. Then the English speaking owner showed up and started talking about how everyone else is okay with using bathrobes as towels and how this is not a five star hotel. They then told us we could rent extra towels for ten euros each, which we did. The next morning, when we went down for breakfast, his wife asked if we wanted coffee or tea. One of us asked for an espresso. She replied with ‘piccolo coffee?’ (small coffee in Italian) We said no, do you have an espresso? Then they both started yelling at us about how ungracious and ill-mannered we are, and how we don’t respect his wife, and told us to get out. Why they could not have just told us that they didn’t have an espresso we will never know. One more thing we were unhappy about is that we thought rented the bed and breakfast as an entire house (not by room) but we still were not allowed to use the kitchen and dining room. However, we admit that this is mostly our fault, and we should have clarified this with the owners. Overall we have never experienced anything like this. We were treated with utter disrespect, and made feel like they were doing us a favor, not like we were paying them to stay there.

Riccardo and Suzana were very kind and hospitable. Even though the weather was bad Riccardo was trying to make us feel welcome by providing us with some ideas and places to visit so our stay would be even more pleasant. Breakfasts were great!
