Quanah Parker is our guest cabin at End of the Road Ranch. Minutes from downtown Castle Rock, you will enjoy the mountain views from our cozy cabin. Nestled in Poderosa pine trees and secluded from neighbors, relish the quiet sunset away from bustle of town. Come for a quiet retreat or a family getaway.

The space

Our cozy cabin is secluded, surrounded by trees with an open view to the mountains. To get to the cabin, you follow a path away from the main house. The 800 sq feet plus gets you a living room with queen sleeper sofa, a kitchen with dining table, 1 bedroom with queen bed and dressers, 1 bath, and a kids loft that is accessed by ladder and has 1 double and 1 twin bed for those willing to climb up. Caution: there is no rail so beware for your sleep walkers. You will be taken in by the views from the deck of our rustic hide-away.

Guest access

End of the Road Ranch is just that. We are located at the end of a half-mile long private drive. Parking is provided at the main house's driveway and guests must carry their luggage on a stone path to the cabin. Guests have access to the fire pit below the cabin and are free to hike around the rest of the 8 acre property.

Interaction with guests

Our home is in the main Ranch house located 100 yards and out of sight of the cabin. We are available if any issues arise during your stay.

Other things to note

There are no tvs, cable or internet service, or a land line phone in the cabin. Cell coverage works depending on provider. We have a few games, puzzles and cards along with interesting books for your entertainment. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking essentials; refrigerator, stove, oven, coffee pot and toaster, dishes, small microwave but no dishwasher. Guests can use the fire pit but there is there is no smoking in the cabin and NO marijuana use permitted on our property.

It was the perfect getaway, it felt like we were lost in the mountains and it was exactly what my family needed!!! So great that it slept us all comfortably and still felt cozy!! So clean and well taken care of, it was like being in a family owned cabin of our own!! Would love love to come back for a girls weekend and for family trips!! Fire pit and patios all over were so wonderful and we were still so close to everything we needed!!

Wow. What a great place!. I really enjoyed my morning meditations on the log bench overlooking the valley between two mountains. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a peaceful retreat from everyday life.

Host were very nice however a little disappointed. cabin is VERY close to host house. If you want to be close town this would be nice. If you're looking for a more secluded cabin like feel this is not the place to stay bb

This place is fantastic! Beyond my expectations. Such a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. Plenty of deck furniture and the indoor furniture was very comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer or at least spent more time there. But we did make time for a bonfire on our last night with wood provided by our gracious hosts. There were only two of us so we didn't make use of the loft, but that would have slept 4 more people. We're already talking about next year - and bringing people for the loft!

Adorable little cabin about 45 minutes south of Denver serves as the perfect getaway from work/life. Close enough to the city that you can pop in and hit the attractions there while still being close to secluded rivers for fly fishing and the mountains for hiking. The hosts were more than willing to work with my friend and I about trip adjustments and potential cancellation due to Hurricane Harvey. The view of mountain foothills is gorgeous and I'm sure even more spectacular during the fall. Please be aware that the cabin doesn't have A/C (I completely overlooked that) so it can get a bit hot during summer afternoons. We used that time to go hiking or exploring so once we came back things had cooled down.
