Fiona and Ewen were perfect hosts, giving us help with a problem we had with our travel plans. Rooms were very comfortable and warm on a very cold night. We were visiting friends in Haddington, so Fiona's home was ideal for us and will be when we visit the area again. Wonderful scones! Thank you Fiona

Fiona is a lovely lady and couldn't do enough for us, even accompanied the fact that we was going to get there late, Fiona showed us around when we got there which is a lovely place to stay and even made us a lovely pot of tea. Would definitely recommend Fiona

Beautiful property and lovely hosts. Fiona was incredibly helpful, she picked us up from the bus station when we arrived and dropped us off when we left. The house is beautiful and the garden even moreso; breakfast was delicious and very varied, and we enjoyed the fresh homemade scones and jam most of all! I am looking forward to coming back to Fiona's and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I'm a professional sustainability consultant who facilitates social enterprise development in local and international communities and who enjoys hosting and meeting people from across the world. My passion is about making a difference in people's lives, intertwining economic development with community participation and inclusiveness with much need environmental transformation and stewardship.
I am married to Ewen, a university Lecturer in electrical engineering, with a grown up family and a growing number of grandchildren!
I'm a passionate organic gardener and invite you to visit the beautiful tranquility of our cottage style garden and artistic home. Come and find a spiritual retreat in the peace of our garden and the rural location of East Lothian, as I do.
We love living in the country- it brings us a step closer to nature. As a biologist, I love waking up to the magnificent dawn chorus of birds in our locality, hearing the woodpeckers when sitting in the garden and watching the numerous frogs and newts around our pond.
However I don't like being cut off and enjoy having Haddington within an easy 1 mile cycle and the busy, character-filled City of Edinburgh only 15 miles away to dip into for cultural, musical and historic visits.
We love entertaining family and community around at home for barbecues and afternoon tea in the garden- I love cooking nice locally produced food. Even better when its home grown!
Hill walking, running and cycling are my life long passions- indulged to greater or lesser degree depending on the weather and how busy I am. It is these however that give me the energy for all the other things that I do..
