I'm a professional sustainability consultant who facilitates social enterprise development in local and international communities and who enjoys hosting and meeting people from across the world. I'm a passionate organic gardener and invite you to visit the beautiful tranquility of our cottage style garden and artistic home. Come and find a spiritual retreat in the peace of our garden and the rural location of East Lothian, as I do.
We love living in the country- it brings us a step closer to nature. As a biologist, I love waking up to the magnificent dawn chorus of birds in our locality, hearing the woodpeckers when sitting in the garden and watching the numerous frogs and newts around our pond.
However I don't like being cut off and enjoy having Haddington within an easy 1 mile cycle and the busy, character-filled City of Edinburgh only 15 miles away to dip into for cultural, musical and historic visits.
We love entertaining family and community around at home for barbecues and afternoon tea in the garden- I love cooking nice locally produced food. Even better when its home grown!
Hill walking, running and cycling are my life long passions- indulged to greater or lesser degree depending on the weather and how busy I am. It is these however that give me the energy for all the other things that I do..
