She is a liar and shouldn’t be trusted. She conned me into believing there was a small issue with the house when it was definitely not safe to stay there considering how much mold was in the house. People got sick for the following week and missed work. Then she had the nerve to …

I am actually in shock with the response from this guest because it is completely false! Read the reviews from my many guests who have all been pleased with the house and found it always clean and neat. I work very hard to see that every guest arrives to a clean and neat house that is comfortable and inviting. I actually bent over backwards for this guest because they wanted to rent my house just for the weekend (2 days). I never do this, but they needed a place and I caved. I was so nice to this person and communicated with this guest every step of the way. A week before this guest was due to arrive, however, we were having the roof replaced on the house. It was planned that the roof would be completed before the guest arrived. However, our roofer had a mishap, and with all the rains in the area, he left the roof exposed causing a water leak to the living room ceiling of the house. A portion of the living room ceiling had to be ripped down for repair. I immediately called the guest when we found out and informed them of the problem and suggested a number of times that they find other living arrangements for the weekend because our ceiling was ripped open due to the leak. With every conversation, Victor said it would be fine ("no worries") and that they would opt to continue with their stay. He specifically said, "a ripped down ceiling doesn't bother us because we're just guys who need a place to sleep for a fishing trip." I explained that the ceiling was open and the guys were working on the roof, but the leak was contained and taken care of. He understood that the ceiling was not going to be fixed until after he left. There was not enough time before his arrival. He was fine with this and had full knowledge of the situation. I explained that all the bedrooms, the kitchen and the rest of the house were all livable, clean and neat. I actually saw to it myself that everything was clean and neat before the party arrived. I even told him I would set up a separate sitting area outside of the living room, so they don't even need to go in the living room. I always try so hard to please my guests. As a gesture for the inconvenience, I gave him a $100.00 credit for the weekend and left him cash for his arrival. When I left that house, just a day before he arrived it was clean and neat. The only issue was the ceiling was open which the guest was fully aware of and accepted the condition and the living room outside window was cracked from the roofing work. There was absolutely no mold! This guest is completely making up stories! If anyone is taking advantage of another person -- its this guest and his party! I came in after this guest and the damage was from the guest and his party. My roofer who came in after to fix the ceiling also witnessed the house a mess and the garbage left outside and scattered all over the yard from this guest. This house is not a dump -- none of my reviews have ever, ever made such a claim. Just the opposite, this guest and his group were absolute slobs and disrespected the house completely! They left garbage outside and inside, wine stains everywhere with puddles of wine on the floor and on the bed. They damaged furniture and left the place a mess and in disarray! I am asking for damages for the ruined furniture, bedding, stained bed, garbage disposal, cost for an exterminator, and extra cleaning services. My ceiling has already been fixed by my roofer, who took care of fixing the water leak from the roofing job. I don't need this guest's money to fix my ceiling! it's already taken care of. I am asking money from this guest for the damages that he and his party caused to my house. I have never had a party like this before -- it's completely disappointing and disgusting. This guest is sly and disingenuous! He knows darn well what he did to our house and the condition that he left it in. He knows wine and drinks were spilt all over the bed, walls and floor. When he left -- it was a complete mess! Do not rent to this guest or his party! They are disrespectful, dirty and obviously completely dishonest!

Great location. Very short (3 minute) Walk to town of Bolton landing. On a bit of a hill, but good exercise after a meal in town:) clean home, has the character of an older home. Wifi is very poor, spotty service. No trash pickup, so need to drive to drop off for a small fee. You…
