This is a very basic accomodation, no electricity, no matress, a wood stove, and a BBQ for cooking. But the real attractions are the huge forest, no neighbor and a very beautiful clean and quiet lake! Perfect for a get away for a little family, a base camp for a fisherman or just a place to relax in nature.

The space

Expect a really basic small cabin, 8'x16'
Accessible by car, no electricity, no runing water, you should bring your drinking water with you.

CLEANING: There will be no cleaning done and so we do not charge any fee for cleaning. On the other hand we ask you to clean the place before leaving. We are going there from time to time to check but if it happens that you found the place not clean please advise us so that we will inform the previous guest.

SLEEPING: Make sure to bring your sleeping bags as there is no sheet. There is 2 single matress, IKEA type, good for one person or a couple. If you are more than 2 you will need to bring some camping matress.

COOKING: The cooking can be done on the BBQ outside. We keep 2 tanks all the time.
There is also a woodstove and plenty of wood in the shed just behind the cabin.

LAKE: You can access the lake by a 10min to 15min walk across a little ill. The lake is not accessible by car. On the side of the lake there is a fire pit and dock. There is also a second site a little bit further, that could be shared with other guest, that have a little kitchen with a BBQ and some boats.
The water on the lake is very clean and drinkable.

WINTER: The cabin is available in winter. There will be a parking space cleaned of snow but expect the trail from the car to the cabin (about 100 Meters) to be full of snow and maybe deep. Snowshoes will be advisable to go to the lake in middle of winter. The woodstove is strong enough to keep you more than warm. Expect to have to wake up once or twice at night to fill more wood in the woodstove.

Just what we were looking for, very isolated cabin in the woods and close reach to a nearby lake! Would come back again, highly recommend it if you're looking for an escape from the city!

Joc was very helpful and timely with responding to any of my questions. The place is fantastic, it has everything you need -- paddle boards and boats, grill, hammocks, etc. We had a blast hanging out by the lake all day and enjoying fires at night!

The house and the property are great for a few days or a week in nature. The nearby lake is wonderful, super clean and quiet. The forest surrounding the house is enchanting and the bonfire will stay in my memory for a long time :) A relaxing getaway from the city. Highly recommended. Jocelyn as a host is equally great and replied to all inquiries in a matter of minutes.

Jocelyn's refuge is the perfect little hideaway for people who love seclusion and simplicity! The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped - he really has thought of everything. And you have access to gorgeous wooded trails and a picturesque lake. It was exactly what we needed for a breathe of fresh air from the city. Would definitely recommend to any of our woodsy friends.
