Large 886 square foot apartment in a beautiful Victorian house near Cambridge. Off-street parking and close to public transportation. High 10-foot ceilings, decorative moldings, and rich colors give this apartment a cozy elegance. Newly installed split air conditioners make the apartment even more comfortable.

The space

You enter through a private entrance to a living room/office space. Straight ahead is a small bedroom with a Queen-sized bed, dresser, closet, and side tables. To the right is an eat-in kitchen. To the left is a large living room that can also double as a second bedroom. The living room has a pullout futon coach and day bed. Note that the living room/bedroom space isn't private as access to the bathroom is through the living room.

Perfect for couples, roommates, or small families.

Amenities: The apartment has a complete kitchen and bath, with coffeemaker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, dishes, pots, pans, etc., and a small washer and dryer. Linens, towels, and basic supplies are included as well. There is high-speed WIFI and a Smart TV. Newly installed split air conditioners add additional heat in the winter and cooling in the summer. The living room has games for kids.

This is a private apartment with a separate entrance. We live in the apartment above so it is easy to accommodate any reasonable requests. We are also available to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Ring our bell, call, or shoot me a text or e-mail.

Location: The apartment is located in a quiet tree lined block that is close to East Arlington restaurants and shops, the 77 bus line to Porter/Harvard, and the Minuteman Bike path. There is also a small park with a playground down the street.

It is a twelve minute walk to the Alewife Red Line T-station, where you can get downtown in less than 30 minutes, a five minute walk to a major supermarket (Stop & Shop), and a 20 minute walk to Davis Square. It is 1.3 miles (2 kilometers) to Tufts, 3 miles (5 kilometers) to Harvard, and is easily accessible to Route 2, I-95 and I-93.

If you are driving you can get to historic Lexington, Concord, and great hiking and leaf-peeping locations in less than half an hour.

My wife and I had a great stay here. Everything was just as described in the listing. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but very close to transit and restaurants. The unit was very clean and comfortable to stay. The host was friendly and accessible when needed and we appreciated having the apartment stocked with everything we needed. We would stay again anytime.

We absolutely loved our stay. My wife and I have two small children so we were very pleased to find the house was child proofed and included a lot of toys. The amenities were fantastic.

Highly recommend and would stay again! We had our two kids, age 3 and 6 months, with us and it was incredibly comfortable for all of us. Jennifer had set up a portable crib for us so when we arrived after midnight, we were able to put the baby right down. Thank you! The house had a lot of little extras that made it extremely comfortable - toys for our son, childproofing on the coffee table, full size shampoo/conditioner, basic snacks and drinks to get us started on our first day, washer/dryer in the kitchen, etc. The neighborhood was beautifully quiet and the neighbors were friendly. I was able to run on the Alewife Brook trail and take it to the Minuteman trail, which was awesome. We had great food within walking distance as well. All in all a great homebase while we were in town visiting family. Thank you so much!

The place was clean and spacious. We loved that we felt comfortable really settling in: cooking dinner with all the equipment we needed, having a place to relax and watch TV, and having a separate place with a desk to do quiet study. We also really loved the area lots of things were within walking distance and everything else was easily accessible by car or by public transportation. We had a great time, and would highly recommend this place to anyone. The apartment was an especially good spot to have a small child (they have a really good collection of books and toys).

Jennifer was her usual great hostess. The apartment is the most well stocked place we have stayed - and we have stayed all over the U.S. The treats she leaves are most appreciated. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is large and includes anything we might want and it is great to have a parking space included. We have stayed here before and will continue to stay here whenever we are in the Boston area.

I don’t know where to begin, to say how Jennifer and her house were amazing! We had an absolutely delightful experience at her place. The house was super clean, and all the things we need were fully equipped. They were very high quality and in very good condition. My wife especially liked the lovely kitchen. She admired Jennifer how she maintains such a clean and functional kitchen. My 8 year old daughter loved the living room with a lot of toys. During the stay, she had no time to get bored thanks to Jennifer’s variety of toys and books. Jennifer’s house is situated in the lovely neighborhood of Arlington, which is quiet but has easy transport via bus into Harvard Square. Also, Alewife subway station is within easy walking distance. If you have a car, the off street parking is easy to park in. As far as hosts go, I can’t imagine anyone being more thoughtful, considerate and ideal than Jennifer! She warmly welcomed us with a pretty welcome kit in the kitchen and in the fridge. She was kind and helpful at every turn, and incredibly accommodating with anything we asked of her. We also deeply appreciate her quick response to our questions and requests. We are very grateful for the chance to stay in your wonderful home, Jennifer! I would definitely recommend this place and host for sure!

The apartment was exactly as described - convenient location, off-street parking, super clean and well stocked. Jennifer even put out snacks for us. Very well thought out home-away-from-home. Would stay here again.
