Welcome! We are a family friendly home in a safe and quiet neighborhood. This is The Purple Room, a large, sunny bedroom with optional baby bed. Breakfast is available upon request, American or Japanese style. We are 40 minutes from the airport, 1 hour from Seattle and 45 minutes from Mt. Rainier. The amphitheater and Expo Center/Fair Grounds are minutes away, as are hiking/biking trails, skiing, camp grounds, city center and other adventures. We look forward to meeting you! 日本語が話せます。
This is The Purple Room. (The door is purple.) There is a queen bed with down comforter and extra blankets, closet, dresser and easy chair with a low table (Japanese kotatsu) for your use. A baby bed is also available. The bathroom is just down the hall with clean towels, shampoo, hair dryer and plenty of space for your toiletries.
In addition to your bedroom and bathroom, you are welcome to relax in our family room, sit by the fireplace in the winter, read the books or play board games. Your children are welcome to play with the toys. There is a small bathroom downstairs that is available, and there is room in the driveway to park your car.
Interaction with guests
Our kids are grown and gone, but we still live in our house. My husband works full time in Seattle, and I work part time in the afternoons. I will be available to greet you, help get you settled and answer any questions.
Other things to note
We are cat lovers and owners. The cats are not allowed in the bedrooms and are outside at night.
This is a non-smoking home. Please no smoking in or around the house.
Need another room for family members? We have two other rooms available! Please see our White Room or Green Room.
- Shoes off in the house, please.

Welcome to our home! We are teachers by profession and love to garden, fish (him) and hike (me). We also love meeting people and making new friends. We have lived in many places around the world, and have settled here in Enumclaw where I graduated high school. We are happy to share our favorite restaurants, fishing spot and hiking trails--or leave you to yourself if that is your wish.
