We had a great stay!
Isabelle and her family live in a second-floor apartment. The room that we stayed in had two comfortable single beds and was stocked with everything one could possibly need. There is a mini fridge, microwave, TV set ( local channels and USB connection), a sofa, desk, and a couple of straight-back chairs. The fridge was stocked with water and pantry shelf in the room held individual serving boxes of cereal, coffee and a coffee maker, and assortment of cups, tumblers, and even a couple of wine glasses. During some of the hottest days of summer the window air conditioner kept the room nice and cool.
On the rental side of the apartment is another, smaller room with a larger bed that is also available on Airbnb. These two rooms share a bathroom (with a great shower) that the family avoids, at least when the rooms are rented. The kitchen, which Isabel suggested was available to us, was also on this side of apartment. Except for using the kitchen, the family quarters were on the opposite side of apartment, (separated by staircase).
This home is obviously filled with love and compassion. The kids were all comfortable with house guests, and made us feel like guests, and not like the strangers we were when we arrived.
The location is great, just a few minutes from the highway, across the street from a park and with plenty of on street parking. We would definitely stay with Isabel and her family again.
Saying all this, I must caution, that this is an older home and a real family, living the way my family and many families do. It is not fancy. It is comfortable and functional and nicely kept, but is probably not for folks who prefer upscale hotels.
