You’ll love our place because of the views, the location, the contemporary yet cottagy vibe, the beautiful sunsets, the seclusion and privacy, and the short distance from Toronto. Our place is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities and nightlife. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). All lakeside doors open to give an indoor-outdoor feel. This cottage has been newly renovated and professionally, thoughtfully designed.

The space

This four bedroom, two bathroom, fully equipped cottage was completely renovated from the ground up in 2015. Built in the mid-1950s, it's unique, post-and-beam structure gives it a contemporary, Frank Lloyd Wright vibe, while still keeping the cozy and comfortable feeling of a cottage. Natural light abounds, with each room and area offering a comfortable and unique feel and decor that will please any taste. Fully air conditioned and heated, with state-of-the-art appliances, multi flat-screen televisions equipped with Apple TV, Netflix and more, an inside-outside Sonos sound system and much, much more mean city slicker living in cottage country. Outside, the gardens offer more than an acre of space to roam and relax, either in the front English garden or out back facing beautiful Lake Simcoe. Sunsets are one of a kind. Year round, our cottage is an oasis of enjoyment and tranquility.

Guest access

Guests have access to a private beachfront and dock, where shallow waters make it ideal for swimming, particularly young children. Kayaks and other water and land equipment are for guests' use, as is a full two-story outdoor play set for kids. Across the street, guests also have access to private tennis courts and a baseball diamond / play area exclusive to New Gamebridge Beach residents. For a more public vibe, public beaches and splash pads in Beaverton and Orillia are just a short drive away, as is Mara Provincial Park, a public provincial park situated on the northern shore of Lake Simcoe that provides camping, boating, swimming and other recreational activities.

Interaction with guests

Our cottage is your cottage - we are available 24-7 to address any needs and concerns. We also have our trusty friend Kyle, who is a phone call, text or short visit away to help with any unexpected issues or concerns.

A wonderful week. The place is beautiful. The water is shallow and surprisingly warm so great for swimming and kayaking. Evenings around the firepit, with great water views...a very relaxing environment. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Our family had a terrific stay at Corey And Alison’s place. The cottage is even more gorgeous than it appears in the photos (with so many details to discover) and they have thought through everything to make your stay more enjoyable both inside the cottage and out.

Corey and Alison were wonderful hosts making our family getaway for 8 adults and a 10 month old very unique and special. They provided a lot of detailed information in advance and were only a quick email away for any questions either before or while we were there. The cottage is very modernized with lots of great amenities, high end appliances, very clean and decorated beautifully. The lakefront and backyard are great with lovely sunsets to enjoy. We would love to return again and would highly recommend their place!

This stunning cottage is a spacious and family friendly place to stay. Beautifully furnished with good sized modern kitchen. The garden is great for kids, small beach also very child friendly. We stayed here for 6 days with 9 people (4 young kids and 5 adults) and there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for all of us. Would love to come back here!

A special lake house on Lake Simcoe. We were a group of 8 adults (family and friends) staying for 6 nights in June 2017. First of all the hosts, Corey and Alison are very responsive and helpful. From the early queries last year up to questions during our stay, Corey and Alison responded quickly and sometimes proactively checked in to make sure everything was OK. The house is stunning. It had 4 good size bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plenty of living space for people to split up if necessary and a modern fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The morning view from the master bedroom will remain with us for a long time. Perfect for sitting with an early morning cup of tea watching the wildlife and changing lake scene. Outside the deck is equipped with seating and lounges and a table and chairs. There is a large rear garden leading down to the lake and dock. Because we were fairly early on in the holiday season it was pretty quiet on the lake. The lake water was crystal clear and we swam on most days using the steps at the end of the dock. The water is quite shallow quite a long way out which makes it safe for swimming near the dock. There were no weeds near the lake shore as we have experienced at other lakeside cottages. The food store and liquor store are just a 10 minute drive away in Brechin and there are some restaurants nearby though we used the BBQ and kitchen equipment each night. All in all this is an wonderful house for groups of 5-8 and excellent value for money. It is highly recommended and we hope to return one day.
