About this listing
There's 200 years of history in our cosy little cottage. Part of the original village cross and formerly the post office, it is now a fully refurbished one bedroom haven.
There's wonderful walks from the doorstep and it's a great base to explore the cities and sights of central Scotland.
This is a ground-floor converted stone cottage in the quiet village of Banton. There's a king size bed in the bedroom and the sofa bed can accommodate 2 more. The kitchen/dining/living area is semi open plan and there's an outdoor patio at the back if you're lucky enough to enjoy some Scottish sunshine.
Although you can "get away from it all" here, it's also just 8 minutes drive from the M80 which is a gateway to the cities, historic sites and Highlands of Scotland.
We're 25 minutes drive from Glasgow, 50 minutes from Edinburgh and 20 minutes from Stirling. There are lots of walks and the Forth and Clyde canal is a 20-minute walk away.
You'll have the whole cottage to yourself. There's a small decked area out the back with table and chairs.
Interaction with guests
We live next door but one (cottage with purple door) so just ring the doorbell if you have any questions. If we're not in then just send us a message on AirBnB
Other things to note
There's a pub right across the road but it's quiet. There's no shop in the village so be sure to stock up in the Co-op in Haggs if you're coming from Junction 7 on the M80 or Lidl/Co-op in Kilsyth if you're arriving from that direction.
Please take your shoes off in the porch. There's carpet throughout (except for the kitchen area and bathroom) so your feet shouldn't get cold :-)
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.
