Overlooking Wellington's fabulous harbour, with views from every room, our home is in Wadestown, a leafy and beautiful suburb close to the attractions of the city centre. The main guest room is a comfy space for one or two, and you're always welcome to use the general living spaces when you're at home. From street level, there is access to the house by private cable car, so you don't have to carry your cases and for those arriving by car, on-street-parking is never a problem.
Our guest room is a bright airy space overlooking the harbour and city. Apart from the basic furnishings, there is also some additional storage available just outside the room (particularly useful for hanging garments or very bulky cases). The bathroom facilities accessible to guests are the main / house bathroom and (separate) toilet. The hosts have ensuite facilities, so in the normal course of events guests have the use of the main bathroom facilities pretty much to themselves (although if we have family / friends staying at the same time that wouldn't be the case).
We also welcome you to use the shared living spaces (living and dining rooms) - while you're here it's important to us that you feel at home. Similarly, please feel free to use the kitchen and laundry; we just ask that you clean up after yourselves and leave them as you found them. We're also very happy to be flexible with our check-in and check out times and if you need something different to the stated times, just let us know and we'll see what we can do.
Interaction with guests
We work from home so there's usually someone here if you have any questions or would like to know our thoughts on Wellington's attractions, dining or nightlife etc. Also, if you find you need to contact us while we're not at home (or you're not here), we're usually available for you to call us for the information you need.
Other things to note
Access to the house is by either a path / steps or by our cable-car, as we're about 60' below the street level. If you use the cable car, you can rest assured that it's safe (it has a regular professional check-over and certification that it is) and it's certainly a lot easier (especially going back up to the street!) than the walk. It also can carry up to about 200kg, about two medium sized people and a small/medium amount of luggage. It's no faster than the walk, but far more fun!
