My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

The space

The house is over 200 years old, built of solid Welsh stone and deceptively large. It is located on a quiet street with a small car park at the front and Fishguard Bay at the back. From the back gate to the sea is a distance of about 20 feet and at very high tides, it’s a lot closer!

The house is upside down, with three bedrooms and family bathroom downstairs and the main living space and a further bedroom upstairs. It can easily accommodate two families with two kids each but is equally good for a romantic weekend for two.

The house is a very special place. If you have a busy life and need to relax, there is nothing better than relaxing with a glass of wine on the balcony while you watch the boats bob about on the harbour and the kids crabbing off the quayside just a few yards away.

Guest access

The house is next to a public car park so there is plenty of parking and its all free. We will send you details of keys etc. the week before your stay.

Interaction with guests

Please feel free to contact me on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) if you experience any issues during your stay. I do not live near Fishguard but there is a caretaker available to fix anything or help you with anything you might need.

Other things to note

We’ve tried to make the house an easy place to stay with all the comforts of home. You’ll find most things you’d expect in a holiday home plus a few that perhaps you wouldn’t; including wireless internet and kayaks. The house is very will kitted out with bed linen, towels, hairdryer, ironing board, highchair and cot. The kitchen is well equipped with enough crockery and cutlery to cater for 8+ guests.

Lovely situation - great views across the bay. Everything that we needed was there. Recommended.

This was an excellent base to tour the Cardigan Bay Area. Such a peaceful view from the upstairs living room. Had a lovely warm welcome from all the people we met.

We had a great few days the house was perfect and surrounding area interesting with some nice walks and plenty good places to eat. The time flew by and we left feeling relaxed & refreshed having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Simon was a very responsive, friendly host, and the property was a very enjoyable place to stay with family. There were some slight issues with minor things, such as a lack of tumblers, and flypaper hanging in a bedroom, and there was a slight lack of cleanliness in the sitting room (a better hoover being needed!), but we contacted Simon and he was responsive and very communicative. Otherwise the house was a nice place to stay, in a fantastic location.

Wonderful! Perfect location with loads of space to relax. A perfect, immaculate family home with everything you need. Amazing views. Kayaking trips twice a day from right outside the door. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you!

After years of paying over the odds in Cornwall - we decided to try Wales. We have only met wonderful people and been to beautiful places. The house in Fishguard was perfect for our party - a really useful drying room just off the terrace, a washer dryer to cope with 6 very wet kayakers and a great view, regardless of the weather. The bathrooms are not hotel chic but both have great showers and lots of hot water. We loved it. And fell in love with Pembrokeshire. Simon was the best person we have ever communicated with via Airbnb (and they have all been good) and he very kindly declined our offer of replacing a coconut mat from the front door that our working cocker spaniel single pawedly destroyed...... 10 out of 10 - Thank you Simon
