After a smooth arrival (park the car in front of the house for free), we had a wonderful stay in this small and lovely appartment. It has everything you need, is clean and situated better than expected, close to the citadel and city center. We enjoyed our days in and around Bastia and would surely recommend this place!

The view, the view, the view !! Marie Madelaine was a great host, communication was easy, the place was clean and had most of what we needed. Location is also great since you're about 10 to 15 min walking distance from old port of Bastia with all the bars and restaurants. The beach is also just a 10 minute drive away.

First of all Marie Madeleine is amazing person and host, very friendly and helpful. Apartment is good located, right from the window you can see the sea. Equipment and furniture are also good. Only one thing need to pay your attention - building stay on the street (as many other hotels and apartments in Bastia) and it can by noisy at night - if you very sensitive for it is better to choose something inside old city on pedestrian streets.

Marylene was an incredible host. Her apartment is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and a grocery store within 2 minute walk. Great to walk the whole town. Lovely to wake up to the magnificent view of the sea. Only thing is the traffic is a bit loud because the Windows over look a main road but I am used to this living in NYC. Otherwise highly recommend !! Marylene even left some snacks in the fridge!

Great apartment & location, with a really beautiful view. About 5-10 minutes walk down the hill to the port/majority of restaurants although there are some lovely restaurants very close-by as well - a minute or two away - if you choose. The apartment is right on a main/very busy road so I'd recommend earplugs! Overall a great place & would recommend.

The apartment is on the first floor of a two storey building with access from a stepped passage way up the side of the building. There is a Brocante shop underneath the apartment which was never open during our stay so it was quiet inside the apartment. We were warmly welcomed and shown around the apartment and given some advice on where to go in the area with maps and leaflets from the apartment. There are two windows overlooking the bay from which two of the islands in the Tuscan archipelago can be seen as well as good views along the coast to the south and the citadel to the north, which is lit up at night. The apartment is small, lovingly cared for, very clean, well decorated and well equipped. The apartment is on one of the main roads into Bastia so there is always something to watch from the windows but the traffic stops late in the evening so a good nights sleep is possible. There are two boulangeries close by to the north, we preferred the baguettes from the larger shop in the square which also has several bars and food shops, all very easy to walk to. Parking is difficult in Bastia and expensive, there's an underground car park a few minutes walk north of the apartment but we used a car park to the south by the first mini roundabout as you leave Bastia, it's a bit further to walk, but it's free and the car won't get damaged as the only other alternative is to park half on and half off the pavement on the main road. We left early in the morning to catch our flight home, the checkout was very quick and easy. The apartment was just what we needed to explore Bastia and Cap Corse, where we had some walks along the Sentier de Douaniers and up some steep uphill climbs into the mountains behind.

Marie Madeleine is so lovely and friendly! She really made our stay very comfortable and welcoming and provided lots of information and tips about places to visit. The flat is very clean and tidy, with great air conditioning system and wonderful view from both the living space and the bedroom. We didn't have to buy anything extra as it was all there. The area surrounding the flat is very pretty too. Small little streets leading down to the port and to a little beach! A few minutes walk from the Citadelle, shops, cafes ...etc. It is Ideally located. I would really recommend this flat for a long weekend - we had a great few days in Bastia and around!
