Interaction with guests

I'm here to provide any assistance you need. Places to see, things to do and the wonderful food world of Portland.

Other things to note

There are no cooking facilities. Sorry, no pets. Not something I like very much but there are just too many people with allergies that would be affected.

John was an incredibly welcoming host! He picked us up from the airport, let us drop our stuff off and then took us a local spot for brunch! As if that wasn't enough, he then dropped us off at a different location of our request so we could walk around and explore. The room is cozy and comfy. The beds are literal slices of heaven, especially after walking around all day. He continually offered advise on where to go and what to do. If you don't have a car, make sure you're good a navigating public transportation, which Portland makes incredibly easy. We opted for this because I'm under 25 and car rentals like to charge me a lot. Overall John was a fantastic host and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This is our second time staying at John's place. We love the space, cleanliness, and privacy. John was accommodating even when we locked ourselves out of the apartment. We like that we have a parking space which makes it easy to come and go. We look forward to our next visit.

John was a great host. He even had a bottle of wine for us when we got there. The place was centrally located between center city and the outdoors. Perfect spot for 2 people.

John's Place is perfect for up to 2 people. Very easy to find, very clean and John was a fantastic and kind host. Beds were comfortable and John had a nice coffee machine, TV, nice shower, clean towels & linens. Great value for the price! Thanks John!

John's accommodations were perfect. Far enough out of downtown to be quiet and cozy , but close enough to easily drive down and enjoy a day (or evening) in the city. The rooms were very clean, cozy, comfortable and the "extras" were well thought out and above and beyond. I highly recommend his place for your next stay in Portland. His knowledge of his chosen home city is excellent and his suggested eateries are exceptional.

Cozy studio. Doesn't have a microwave if that is important to you and is technically a garage that was converted into a guesthouse. Very comfortable and host is very friendly and helpful.

Response from John:
Thanks Nadine. It isn't a converted "garage". On the original floor plans (1951 custom home) it's designated as a "rumpus" room. That's old world speak for game room/den. The bathroom of course was remodeled by me but it's always been there.
