This sweet little house with its super fast internet & cable/smart TV makes working from home & entertaining kids easy. The huge yard and nearby park are great for kids and pups. Hiking and mountain biking trails are just a few minutes away. Most Cville restaurants are open for take out or curbside, and you can walk or bike to many from the cottage. Sip coffee and wine on the screened porch, take long walks through the city neighborhoods. A perfect place to escape and enjoy spring in Cville.

The space
You will love this cozy, beautifully decorated cottage situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in downtown Charlottesville. The house has amazing light and a great feel, and it is stocked with everything you’ll need for a perfect stay. It’s situated in a little tucked-away neighborhood, yet in the middle of the city. You’ll enjoy your proximity to everything: you’re just a few-minutes' walk from the IX Park with its amazing restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, and shops (Brazo’s Tacos, Carpe Cafe, Sweethaus Cafe, Three Notch’d Brewery). The cottage is also an easy walk (10-15 min) to downtown Belmont with its own list of superior dining: Tavola, Mas, The Local, Lampo, Junction. And the downtown mall is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Monticello is a quick 5-minute drive, and you’ll be centrally located to all the vineyards and wedding venues in the surrounding areas. UVA hospital and Grounds are 5 minutes away.
The house has been painstakingly designed by a professional designer to provide you with everything you’ll need to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing- luxurious linens, comfy, high-quality mattresses, a lovely mixture of contemporary and antique furniture, high-quality cookware, and provided essential pantry items.
We are also extremely proud of the care with which we treat this house- you will always find it sparkling clean, and we use only all-natural cleaning products, so you can be assured that you are in a healthy and responsible space.
The house has two bedrooms, a full bath, a living room, eat-in kitchen, and marvelous screened porch which overlooks a neighbor's urban farm and mountain views in winter.
It’s a perfect place for people with pooches and kids- we have a great, large yard set back from the road, and a beautiful park (Belmont Park) just two blocks away with walking/bike paths, play ground equipment, lots of green space, and a splash ground.

If you click on my profile picture and scroll down, you’ll find two guidebooks- one general guidebook to Cville, and then one guidebook for visiting Cville with kids.

The house is situated in a lovely, engaged, and friendly neighborhood. We all value our special little set-back enclave with its old trees, open space, and mountain/city views- right in the heart of Belmont. It’s truly a special little spot with a great feel. You’ll love being able to walk or take a quick drive to get to all of the restaurants in the IX Park, downtown Belmont, and downtown Charlottesville.

I'm a designer, the wife of an architect, and the mom of two young boys. The spaces I decorate and inhabit are inevitably a reflection of those three things: they have to be beautiful, efficient, functional, practical, and impervious to crazy little boy activity. As a family, we love soccer, reading, traveling, cooking, and playing intense and never-ending games of Monopoly. 5 things I can't live without? My boys, books, funny people, good running sneakers, and the view out my window.
