This quaint cabin is nestled between two 100+ year old barns in a rustic setting. There are two rooms with high wooden open beam ceilings making the cabin feel larger than it is. The kitchenette has a toaster oven, induction plate, teapot, coffee bodum, blender, small refrigerator; perfect for preparing simple meals. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen-size bed, SmartTV/Netflix. There is a small fenced backyard with a sitting area. We close to many wonderful activities and amenities!

The space
This little cabin is close to many wonderful activities and amenities - City of Nelson 20 minute drive along the beautiful lake, approximately 30 minutes to Ainsworth Hot springs when open to the public, 12 minutes to Kokanee Provincial Park which is also the turn off to the Kookanee Mountain Zipline and Kokanee Glacier. 20 minutes to the longest distance free of cost ferry in the world, 45 minutes to Kaslo known as the biggest smallest city on the lake and about 40 minute to the White Water Ski Resort turnout.

The cabin is close to the lake and just down the road is Helman Canoes where you can rent canoes or kayaks.

This quaint, 300 square foot cabin is nestle between two very old barns, one belongs to us the other belongs to the neighbors. Both were built over 100 years ago in a rustic setting. The space is sweet, quiet and relaxing. The cabin has two rooms with high wooden open beam ceilings, a small room with an armoire and little bathroom. The natural unpainted wood for the interior was carefully salvaged from the previous owner's sister’s heritage barn; one can easily see this cabin was built with love.

Passing through the front door, you enter the kitchen and sitting room, bright and pleasant, with two big skylights and a large and small window, a cheery room.

The kitchenette, has a toaster/convection oven, induction plate, tea pot, coffee bodum, blender and small refrigerator; convenient for the preparation of simple foods and beverages.
The kitchenette and sitting area also has a stereo system with a CD player.

In the bedroom you will find a comfortable queen size bed, 32" TV with Netflix, a cabinet and a sink to freshen up and a armoire to hang and place your clothes.

The small bathroom has a shower, a high end Separett composting toilet which is emptied after each guest leaves. If staying for 4 or more days you can request to have emptied after 3 days.

Through the backdoor is a small deck and sitting area, another beautiful view of the mountains, and the sound of gentle water falling into the fish pond.

Laundry is available upon request and I will do it for you since it is in the main house.

I am dog friendly and have provided a small fenced area in the back sitting area.

Guest access
Covered parking in front of cabin

Other things to note
The cabin is rural and in the mountains and there are some bugs and insects. What we mostly see around here are larger black ants, sometimes carpenter ants, wood beetles, dragon flies, pollinating bees and honey bees , flies, yellow jackets and wasps.

Hello I moved to the Kootenays nine years ago from Victoria BC because I enjoy mountain living and the vast lake. I also love the ocean and when I get a chance I like to visit my family in Northern California. I have two beautiful dogs who I enjoy hiking with spending time at the lake. I am a certified massage practitioner and a nutrition consultant for humans and animals friends.
