This apartment is an absolutely charming beauty located just steps to the US Capitol, DC Metro, Eastern Market, Shops & Restaurants! Complete with new appliances, large master bedroom, desk space, tons of closet space and more. KEEP IN MIND...this is a basement apartment in a historic Rowhome...this means that sound will carry from the upstairs unit. Our family does live above and we have young children. We make every effort to keep the noise level to a minimum, but you will hear activity and footsteps between around 7:30 or 8 am and 8:30 pm pm. It is very quiet overnight. Most guests are not bothered at all, however, if your plans require absolute silence, a basement apartment may not be the best fit for you stay.
You will have full access to the entire basement unit which has a separated bedroom with lock, private bathroom, fully loaded kitchen, eating area plus a living room with desk space. Plus a parking permit to park on our neighborhood streets which are zoned.

Other things to note
We can provide you with a parking permit. Our neighborhood streets are zoned and require a parking permit.
-We ask that your treat the apartment as if it were your own-with respect and care.
-Please take care to follow the key/lock procedures as well as the check in and check out procedures outlined in the house manual.
-We ask that you do not smoke, have parties or partake in any illegal activity while in the apartment.
-We also ask that you take care to always lock the doors upon entering or exiting the unit, leave the parking permit and SmartTrip card in the unit when you checkout, run the dishwasher before you checkout and take the trash and recycling to the bins provided just outside of the apartment upon your departure.
--Guests must adhere to checkin (3pm) and checkout (11am) times unless previously authorized by host at least 24 hours in advance of their stay.
--If the parking permit is not returned to the unit upon checkout you will incur a $150 fine.
