My place is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the views, the people, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Water’s Edge really is just a boardwalk away from the turquoise lagoon, home to jumping fish and diving turtles.
From the moment you arrive at the front garden with hibiscus, antherium and palm trees swaying in the breeze you know that you have arrived in Barbados. Open the front door and glimpse your first sight of the spectacular view through the terrace doors across the lagoon to the beach dock and the Caribbean Sea beyond and you know you’ve arrived in the luxurious haven that is Port St Charles Marina.
This uniquely large 1 bed apartment with its 1400 square feet offers not only far more space indoors but has a double width terrace and 2 full marble bathrooms. Water’s Edge is also cleverly positioned to capture the full benefit of the Trade winds which blow from east to west across the island, with the slatted doors and windows the climate inside the apartment naturally feels cool and comfortable especially after a long day lazing on the beach.
Water’s Edge is fully equipped for a long or short stay with a well-appointed kitchen opening onto a spacious lounge, a huge bedroom, fabulous outside dining and lounge areas together with a plunge pool for cooling off and a deck area for private sunbathing.
The beach at Port St Charles is arguably one of the best beaches and reefs on the Island and our beach attendant, Andy, will happily put up your sun loungers and sun shades when you call for them. Why not spoil yourself and take the short trip to the beach dock on the complimentary water taxi which runs throughout the Marina during the day? During your stay you will have access to all the amenities which the community has to offer these include: a pool and sunbathing area with an honesty bar at Sunset Isle, floodlit tennis courts, a 24 hour gym and a hairdresser. The Port St Charles Yacht Club Bar and Restaurant is open all day with regular live entertainment on certain days, a second pool and sunbathing area.
Port St. Charles is a luxury residential community situated in the North of Barbados 5 minutes’ walk from Speightstown centre. Historic Speightstown, originally known as Little Bristol, is a quaint town where you will find life lived in traditional Caribbean style. Fishermen bringing in the days’ catch to be sold at the open air Fish Market and the Vegetable Ladies sitting by their colourful stalls on the pavements chatting, laughing and selling locally grown and imported fruit and vegetables. There is a small supermarket, a collection of shops, art galleries, a pharmacy, an optician, Wreckers and Reefers Dive Centre, several rum bars where the old stagers play dominoes in the cool of the evening and a variety of restaurants. About 15 minutes south of Port St Charles is Holetown with an interesting mix of traditional and modern and probably the best choice for shopping on the island. Holetown also boasts a fine collection of bars and restaurants covering all tastes from totally local to fine dining. Drive north and you will find the excellent Fish Pot restaurant, Merton’s famous Fish Fry and the spectacular scenery of North Point. In fact whichever direction you travel from Port St Charles you will find something interesting and beautiful to delight you. Come and see for yourself and make your first stop Water’s Edge.
Guests have access to the entire apartment except for a second bedroom which is locked off. Guests have use of all the amenities which the community offers; such as the water taxi, sun beds & umbrellas, gym, tennis courts and swimming pools.
