Response from Jason:
Hi Clemence and Valentin, let's walk through your cons, as this seem to be your very first booking on AirBNB.
You didn't reply to my early email about check-in time until hours before your arrival, which led to a scramble to find the right person to help get you in and delays getting you into the apartment (I have the messages on AirBNB to prove it).
Interesting you said my bed linen was dirty, when I left you THREE sets of linen for your stay, two neatly tied up in your guest chest of drawers and you returned me one so stained I wrote to AirBNB about the damage. Interesting also that you wrote there were no glasses when you left all six of my glasses in my sink when you left.
My fridge were near empty for you, except for sauces, ketchup and a pack of fresh hemp milk. That was not the case when you left, when you left packs and packs of uneaten food in the fridge and kitchen, and when I organized them for you to take with you, your response to me was 'you can keep them'!
I apologized for the toilet. I called the building super to fix it when you first brought it up. When I asked you upon checkout if everything worked and you told me the toilet broke again, I am genuinely sorry. I am also surprised you didn't call me at all until the final day, when I could have called the super again or a plumber to fix or replace it. Not cool to not communicate an issue and bring it up as though it is entirely one party's fault.
Which leads us to how you finally checkout. You didn't reply to my AirBNB messages about checkout, and only answered when we called. You kept me waiting outside my apartment for five minutes after I knocked three separate times, and when I entered I saw why. You left me dishes so dirty the grease hardened and crusted, that the dishwasher could not cleaned them. You broke my antique tea cup and hid the evidence, and offered a nonchalant 'sorry' when I found it. A fork and knife are missing. You left dirty dishware in the bath, and the entire bathroom so soaked that fresh mold was growing near the shower. When I pointed out the dirty pots you left me, you both just shrugged. And all the uneaten food you walked away from. From where I stood, you are acting either from inexperience, this being your first AirBNB, or it was offensively rude.
I've had a dozen bookings before you, with reviews that you can read for yourself. I love New York and I work to make sure my guests enjoy their stay and fall in love with this neighbourhood and city. As I said in my review of you, you are the worse experience I've had, and from the state you left my apartment, I would not recommend you to any other host.
