Newly remodeled & welly appointed upper unit. Two bedroom one bath. Great kitchen, well equipped for cooking, and BBQ grill. Guests have a shared outdoor patio that faces the court with patio furniture and BBQ. Prime location, the house is located 75 steps from the bay and 1.5 block from the ocean across mission boulevard. The space was created to feel open and airy with minimal compartmentalization the kitchen, living, and dining spaces seamlessly flow together. 1. REQUIREMENTS FOR RENTAL CONFIRMATION. When you (i) complete and submit a reservation request for available dates, and submit your payment you agree to the Vacation Rental Terms and Conditions and any others specified in any booking websites.

6. PAYMENTS. The property will not be reserved for you, nor made available to you, until you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and you have made all required payments. Your rental may be cancelled by Landlord if Landlord does not receive all required payments.
A. NONREFUNDABLE CLEANING FEE. The specified cleaning fee is nonrefundable. It is for normal cleaning of the property. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the property requires heavy or additional cleaning

I understand the inherent risk involved in using this equipment, accept full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may result.

Waiver & Release: In consideration of property owner officers, agents, and employees renting me this property and my use of amenities including but not limited to bicycles, paddle boards, boogie boards, and surfboards and participating in these activities. I specifically release and forever discharge the property owner officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which I may suffer while renting this property and participating in these activities. Josh’s place in Mission Beach is absolutely brilliant for a family beach holiday! Apartment is modern and well equipped to take advantage of the beautiful Mission Beach. We particularly enjoyed cycling along the ocean boardwalk and taking the Stand Up Paddle boards for a spin in the lagoon. I would totally recommend Josh’s place for your next holiday I really hope to be back!

We had a great time and a great stay, everything was as described. The place was super clean and tidy with very comfy beds and so close to the beach and bay! Joshua was a great host with clear communication and great responses. This will definitely be the first place we look for next time we visit San Diego.

Unfortunately, our experience at Joshua's place was not a good one. Our car was broken into (in the assigned parking spot behind the unit). Car alarms seem to go off frequently throughout the night. There was a large party in an apartment behind the unit - with loud music until 1am. The bicycles are shared with the guests in the downstairs unit and they were not available the first two days of our three day stay. The lights do not work outside the front door making it a bit difficult to see at night. We tried to resolve our concerns with the host, however he continues to tell us the owner is not available to discuss the situation (two weeks later). Not at all what we were expecting.

I am at a loss for words on this one but am going to leave a quick reply here. 1. When I checked in with you on day 2 out of 3, everything was peachy and you messaged me "we are all settled in and enjoying our stay" 2. A lot of people take vacations in August, including owners of Airbnb rentals but car alarms and a loud party, just not true, residents on this quiet court would freak out. 3. This review appears to me to follow a request to be reimbursed for items taken from your car, which were not verified. People are not running around with hacking devices that unlock cars as you claimed. Lock your car doors! No police report was filed. Maybe that's why your insurance won't deal with it. 4. The lights are high output LED. They are operated by the light switch, which is in the normal spot, right by the door. They worked before you arrived and after you left. (The light switch has to be in the on position for them to work). 5. The "bike shortage" was not brought up until last night of your stay. This would have been an easy fix, there were 7 bikes on site. On your next stay just ask :) 6. The evening before departure doesn't leave me adequate time to address any concerns. Again, when I checked in on day two of three you were enjoying your stay. 8. Not at all the feedback I was expecting, future guests please check the other 47 reviews for this property or peruse my 200 plus 5 star reviews. Cheers! Joshua
