Lovely secluded gite in the beautiful Normandy countryside! The gite was very comfortable, we enjoyed the open fire (which our hosts very kindly left some wood for), comfy bed, lovely bath and separate shower, high chair and travel cot (very much appreciated when travelling with a young child!) and the views enjoyed from lots of outside seating! You aren't waking distance to any shops. But you are only a 10 minutes drive from liseux (big town, supermarket and restaurants- oh and a Saturday morning market is a must!) and orbec (small picturesque French town). We also found plenty of places to visit all within an hours drive away. Even after a week we didn't visit everywhere we wanted to! We will be back soon. Thank you again for a lovely holiday!

Peaceful and so picturesque with added bonus of fantastic footpaths on the doorstep including the Grand Randonee 26. The kids loved the garden and woods behind and we were always made to feel very welcome too. A great week!

A lovely house in a tranquil setting. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely recommend it. We have two young children and the house catered for them very well.

We had a wonderful time here. The lovely Normandy house is situated perfectly in an area where you can find all sorts of places to enjoy the Normandy culture. P&F are very kind & lovely hosts, and make you feel at home. We would love to come again! Cheers, Roger, Nicolette & kids

In searching for a house in very last minute we were happy to find a house like this little Gite in the normandy, where we can avoid a bad weather front. The house is pretty much like it is described, a cozy little Gite with a nice and large chimney. By arriving so late, we didn't give Philippe enough time to make a last round inside the house before our arrival, and so there were some spider webs and spiders in the corners, but anything else was clean and in a good condition. Philippe has a dog too, and we both agreed, that our dog and his, both males, may be grumpy, we managed without any problems to be seperated. We could let our dog most of the time just out, because Philippe directly offered to let his dog mostly in. In the end there was no real problem between the dogs. Philippes dog is very nice and behaved very well :) Another plus was, that we received some firewood for the chimney, because we brought nothing with us on the first evening. But you also can buy it in every supermarket in the area (next one is about 8km away) The minus points for us were: - the bathub looks greater as it is on the pictures, so it is more appropriate to smaller persons - towels and bedding are not include and we payed around 20eur for that, which yes is not included in the options, but we felt suprised about that. - In general we think that the Gite is a little bit to expensive for what you get, especially because it is in the middle of nowhere. Which is really beautiful, but we had still the feel, that it is too expensive.

Philippe's normand cottage is a beautiful place in a perfect scenic setting: a calm, gorgeous landscape in the Pays d'Auge. Philippe (and Fabrice) proved to be an excellent host, providing privacy by default, and attention when needed. Upon arrival we were received with open arms, good spirits, and a lovely pichet of perfectly chilled, refreshing rosé. The garden is beautiful; the cottage provides everything you need. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and highly recommend.
