This is a 2-part review:
First the good: the interior of the house has been well-furnished and improved. Floors and bathroom are clean, and all of the kitchenware is there. Comfortable sleeping arrangements overall and a good homely environment. Nothing wrong with the actual place itself
However, the host did take a long time to respond and address any issues associated with the place. She was hard to reach and communicate with and caused some frustrations in dealing with some issues inside the place, especially with the slow/dysfunctional Wi-Fi connection and lack of heating for a couple days.
As for the area, it's in a real suburban and inconvenient location. Closest legitimate grocery store is over 0.5 miles away, closest gyms are even further away than that and worst of all, it's an incredible inconvenience to go to and from Manhattan. The 5 train stops running at night, while the 2 train takes over 45 minutes to get to and from Manhattan and often even longer at night, with fewer trains running.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're here for a really short period of time and here to just visit, since it's so far away from everything. However, if you're here for work or for an extended period of time (3 weeks or longer), you might consider staying here due to the affordability and cleanliness of the place.
