This is the second time that I am staying at this apartment. As I have said before the location is amazing. Just steps away from Guy metro, and close to saint Catherine street. Fares as always was very accommodating and provided us with whatever we needed. He let us leave our luggage in the apartment after checkout which was really helpful to us. Next time I am in Montreal I will definitely contact Fares again to stay here.

The check-in process was easy, even though I had arrived very late in the night. The apartment was clean and was exactly as described. Location was great too.

This loft is very open and suitable for the 5 people I traveled with. Fare was very friendly when we met. The location is perfect, right off of St Catherine. We were within minutes walking distance of great bars and restaurants. There were a few things missing from the loft that we were expecting to have, for instance paper towels, hand towels, dish soap, and trash bags. The toilet seat was cracked when we got there and I asked Fare if he could replace but never got around to it. It ended up breaking into more pieces and we were seatless for the remainder of our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Montréal and had a good time.

Host did not have the home cleaned on time. We arrived promptly for check in and were turned away by the cleaning staff for an extra hour. Host did not provide Wi-Fi or parking instructions. I had to ask. Parking instructions were inaccurate and did not serve well at all. The home is setup weird and I would not recommend it for anyone with children or pets. You practically have to climb a ladder to go to bed and if you plan on drinking and staying here I wish you luck climbing down the ladder/stairs to go to the bathroom. You may really hurt yourself. The place lacked more than 50% of the light bulbs and any garbage cans. It was for the most part quite clean but the cleaning staff thought it was okay to leave all the walls with black dirt on them. The TV is a prop. It has no cable or remote for that matter. Come with at least an HDMI cable and compatible laptop if you want to use it. The kitchen chairs are rickety and ready to collapse so just hand out on the futon in the kitchen. Yes, I said futon in the kitchen. The two extra beds mentioned in this listing are in the kitchen. This neighborhood is always really loud and near impossible to find suitable parking for. Beware, if you want a quiet night of sleep at a reasonable time, DO NOT STAY HERE. Along with having to climb a ladder to go to bed, to enter the 7 unit corridor you have to climb up a steep flight of outdoor steps. Once you enter, to get to the corridor landing you have to climb another set of stairs about 3 times as long as the first set. Beware this unit is not suitable for anyone out of shape as it is a workout to climb all these stairs. Expecially when bringing in all your luggage. I recommend this place to college/university students looking for a place that can hold a good amount of people and has a large room (the kitchen) to hang out in. You can be loud in these units and are centrally located around bars/clubs, shopping, food, and public transport. Just remember, if you drink, you are taking a risk sleeping upstairs. We did not stay here by choice. Airbnb put us up in here as a last resort due to the intended location having issues.
