Thank you for your review of our unit. We are sorry that the stay was not up to the standard you expected and we will look more closely at the items which you mentioned. I did indeed mention our ratings to you but there does seem to have been a misunderstanding because all I tried to emphasis was that, so far, we had only ever received 5 star ratings and that we would do everything we could to ensure your stay was perfect. And we did check up on you twice, asking if everything was to your satisfaction. You never mentioned anything was amiss. You were unable to get the induction cooker to work and I came down within minutes to show you how to operate it. Since you have raised several issues, we would like to respond by mentioning that we advertise accurately - we need to otherwise people feel led astray - so we advertise that we offer a kitchenette which has the basic facilities and there are photos which show what may be expected. We do not offer a full kitchen and we state as such. We do not supply cooking oil as a matter of course (but there was in fact virgin cooking oil in the unit near the fridge). We made clear as we do to all guests, that we provide a welcome pack of chocolates, fruit, and nuts, and leave 2 bottles of mineral water and a bottle of milk in the fridge for guests, but that all other foodstuffs may be purchased at the local convenience store.
Our website states that there are views from the walkway but that there is no view from the unit itself and that you look out onto a green courtyard.
Regarding the cleaning charge which you state was high and which forms part of your booking costs, these go to cover cleaners and laundry costs, all carefully detailed on our web-site. Apart from professional cleaners who get more than the going rate, you slept on freshly laundered and ironed premium percale sheets and ironed pillow cases and the ironing is very expensive but necessary for our high quality bedding.
I am really sorry your stay was not as you anticipated - you state that "according to the description given by air bnb we expected something different". We take great care to be accurate in our description and offer 60 photos to show exactly what to expect so that guests are not disappointed. I guess there are mismatched expectations from time to time and that is what causes distress.
Since, apart from the issues you raised, you appear to have had a wonderful time (as per your review), and we would like this opportunity to offer you another stay here at a 50% discount but this would need to be arranged beforehand and go through Airbnb.
