Heart of Willamette Valley wine country; 40m from downtown Portland, on the main street of the tiny hamlet of Yamhill with beautiful views surrounding; near tasting rooms galore, restaurants, art, culture, & an hour and 1/2 to the magnificent OR coast. The lady has old charm, high ceilings, pleasant furnishings & all amenities one might need for a vacation stay, including a lovely private backyard. It's ideal for families, couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends.

The space

I recently and happily bought this house!
The previous owner had a tasting room and lounge on the 1st floor, hence all of tables and chairs you see in the photos. A few will still be there when you visit, along with a couch, a futon, and some minor changes.
The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds. However, one of the bedrooms has a privacy curtain instead of a wall & door. There is a room downstairs with a door opening onto the back deck which functions well as a bedroom if preferred. Another door opens to the backyard and deck from the kitchen, so using this space as a bedroom would not impede other guests. There is a comfortable full size futon in this room.
The back deck is very large and covered, and you'll likely find it to be a favorite spot to be while staying here. The bathroom is comfortable but currently has a shower stall only, no tub. Sorry about that. It's on my to do list for next year along with painting the exterior trim work. The lady has her flaws, but keeps her charm all the while!
The house and grounds are really quite pleasant, and I hope you agree. Thank you for staying at my sweet place.

This place has wonderful sweet touches, including a vintage fridge, a huge deck and backyard. We loved our stay and will definitely book again!

Such a great home to stay in for our week in the area! We had everything we needed (including some yummy bread, butter, coffee, and more that Loey set us up with). We really appreciated the comfy separate sleeping areas for all 3 of us! It was our adorable homebase, with a charming little town right outside the door. Loey was a great, responsive hostess all the way from booking to check-out. Book this cute home and lovely backyard, if you are lucky enough to find it available. And thanks again, Loey!

The house was great. Everything as promised. The owner got back quickly with the couple questions we had. The upstairs beds were very comfy and the downstairs was perfect for unwinding after a day of visiting wineries. The books available were also really handy when trying to decide which wineries to check out. There was no tv, which we loved, and there were a few board games. The kitchen was well stocked and if we had decided not to cook, there was a small general store with supplies and a Mexican restaurant across the street. Overall a great experience and I'd strongly recommend it to any small group of adults.

Great location for visiting wineries and enjoying the scenery. The back garden is lovely and the coffee shop across the street is very handy. Decor is quirky and fun. Would come back.

The house is lovely. It is rustic and charming. The decor is a pleasure and we found the house even had beer in the refrigerator when we arrived!! We thoroughly enjoyed the garden and deck spaces and it is ideal for touring the nearby areas. We went to see the eclipse, but had time for the aerospace museum nearby, and local wineries. Lastly Loey is a pleasure to deal with, she replies promptly and is endlessly helpful. I would recommend this house to anyone

If you're looking to stay in a teensy town near wine country, this quirky, cute place is a good choice. The deck was perfect for each meal (with such nice summer weather), and being a couple blocks from the general store and Mexican restaurant made things easy. Loey was friendly and really great with communication (the perfect amount).

What a wonderful little break we had at the yamlet! Loey made sure everything was taken care of. The garden is lovely and we practically lived on the deck for the weekend. Wine tasting in the region is only a few minutes away and good pizza and Mexican is walking distance which is super handy on hot nights like this when you don't feel like cooking!!! Thanks for making it a home away from home.
