Your future bedroom is so completely New York: alley out the window, exposed brick, radiator pole, small, bamboo floors. Apt is clean, new, and well-kept. Surreal Hell's Kitchen/Times Square location with easy access to every subway. Truly the middle of the city.

You’ll love my place because of the location (SO CLOSE!), the comfy bed, the kitchen, the coziness, the high ceilings, me (I'm awesome). My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).

The space

Man, you can stay in a lot of NYC apartments, but this one is super unique because of the recent renovations. My friends are jealous of my place. Even I'm jealous of my place. I can't believe I live here!

Be aware: It's very small, but alas, that is NYC life. I've grown accustomed to it.

Guest access

You have access to your portion of the apartment! Your private bedroom (a luxury!) and the shared common areas: the living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom. I tend to work nights and sleep in, so you may only see me if we cross paths or on a day off.

Interaction with guests

I obviously have to work while you're here, but when I'm around, I'm happy to help! I'm super friendly.

Other things to note

My apartment is located on the top floor of a walk-up--4 flights of stairs. Be prepared to lug your suitcases up! But hey, this simply means more sunlight! Yay!

I also have a cat. No surprises here! My cat is a roommate as well, so I want to make sure you're okay with that.

**It is important you understand my apartment is on the top floor of a walk-up. There are 4 flights of stairs to get to my apartment that you will have to carry your suitcases up. Honestly, that's the hardest and worst part of my apartment.

****Please make sure you read the listing in its entirety****

Much of this goes without saying, but I'd rather state the obvious than not say it at all:
- Please make sure your airbnb profile is up-to-date and thorough and includes clear pictures of all coming. I need to feel comfortable with my guests.
- Please take care of my home. I took great care to make it this nice so I hope you can respect it.
- Please pick up after yourself in the common areas.
- No unregistered guests without prior approval.
- No smoking in the house. If you do smoke outside, please be courteous and clean up your butts/ash.
- When leaving, please turn off lights, turn off fans and A/Cs, and lock the front door when you leave.
- Be quiet in the shared hallways of the building as everyone can hear you through the doors.
- If anything breaks, spills, stains, etc. please let us know ASAP.
- Unreturned and/or lost house keys will be charged a $50 replacement fee.

You must also acknowledge

Potential for noise - NYC is generally noisy. It's actually not that bad.

Some spaces are shared - I obviously share the living room, kitchen, and bathroom with you.
Amenity limitations - We are in the center of NYC, so space is obviously VERY limited. That's true in all of the neighborhood.

This place is amazing. It's so close to everywhere, less than 5 mins to time square, and 1mins to the metro station. Leigh is perfect host.we didn't meet each other, but each time when I message he replied as soon as possible. The kitty is cute, haha Timberlake is a young kitty, so he need your patient to play with him... Anyway great place to leave, see you next time.

Beautiful, clean NY style apartment with super excellent location. Leigh has thought of everything and makes the best of the apartment. I loved how close it was to Times Square and transport but still quiet at night. I recommend!

I stayed with Leigh for a week and a half and highly recommend it; it was fantastic. Location - the spot was perfect and so close to everything... just a quick walk to Times Square and all of the amazing restaurants in Hell's Kitchen, but far enough away from the noise + hustle & bustle to have a good nights sleep. Apartment - the place was clean, well decorated and comfortable... definitely felt like a home away from home. The room was awesome and even had a wardrobe! And Leigh... he was fabulous! He was able to answer all my silly questions and explained the subway system to me so I soon became a pro! He made me feel comfortable in his home and provided awesome recommendations on places to visit and where to eat. I'd get home from a huge day from site seeing and I'd be absolutely exhausted but I'd find myself staying up even longer just to talk to Leigh because he was such a great guy. I couldn't recommend this place enough - it can be your little splurge in NYC and will make your whole trip so much better! Treat yourself to a stay at Leigh's apartment!

Leigh was amazing! I was in town for a conference, and initially chose this spot because it was close to the meeting location. I got in town in the late evening, but I was able to pick up a key from a nearby KeyCafe, which made check-in very easy and required little back-and-forth planning. There are no elevators in Leigh's apartment building (it's a walkup), and the stairs can be a little steep, but should be manageable for the able-bodied. The apartment is also a close walk to Times Square and some great eating places in Hell's Kitchen. Leigh is a very warm and charming host, and he was more than happy to tell me more about his beautiful apartment. What I loved most was that he treated me like a friend, not just someone who crashed in a spare bedroom for a few nights.

The best location, you get exactly what you see in the pictures, super comfortable bedroom, NYC style to its best and a great host with a friendly quick reply and constantly checking to see if everything is ok. Great value, fantastic atmosphere, couldn't have had a better experience, it felt like I wasn't a tourist but a local. And the flight of stairs is a good exercise too ;)

Leigh is a stellar host. He's considerate and kind, and he has an amazing NY apartment. The four flights of stairs are not easy, but they aren't so bad either. The space is hip and designer but relaxed and comfortable at the same time. The location is - wow. Everything was very clean. I settled into the living room on more than one occasion and knocked out several hours of work. A great Airbnb experience. I highly recommend this place!

I am a lifelong Texan turned New Yorker and have lived here for 10 years. I now own my own elite staffing company, I am a certified Life Coach, and I seek to become a YouTube and TV personality.

I love to travel, so I understand the ups and downs of travel. Come rest your head here!

About me: I am gay and love hosting other gay folks, but I'm not heterophobic--no worries. I am nearly always smiling and bubbly. I'm endlessly optimistic.

I am a busy person, so I have plenty to do and often cannot "entertain", but I love to answer questions and give advice. If I could death drop, I would. I love the idea of becoming a gymnast. A 6'3" gymnast. Wouldn't that be a sight to see?
