15 Duddingston Crescent is a stunning, unique and immaculate 3 bedroom semi-detached house, a few mins walk takes you to Portobello 9 hole golf course and a 10 minutes walk to the beach, with promenade cafés and bars. A small stretch of local shops is a 2 min walk and a large outdoor shopping complex is about five minutes away (by car).
It is approximately 3 miles (7 minutes by car, 15 by bus) to the centre of this stunning city, served by a frequent and excellent bus service (including late night service) with a stop about 20 yards from the front door. Hackney cabs and local cars are readily available. Car parking is also available on site for one car plus more on the side road running alongside the house.
The house has been upgraded and extended to create a contemporary home with quality fittings and fashionable interior throughout. The extensive accommodation is bright and airy with a large open plan kitchen/dining/family room and an impressive double height reception hall. There's also a second lounge/TV room.
The bedrooms are all on the first floor - two have luxurious en-suites and the smaller bedroom has a family bathroom adjacent. The two large rooms have different bed arrangements - one has a queen bed, the other two singles and the other room has bunk beds suitable for adults and children.
Use of a large custom fitted office is also available.
Externally the house is set back from the street with a front garden. To the rear is a large walled south facing garden with off street. When the sun is out it's a glorious place to socialise or find a quiet spot with your book.
We are happy for you to have full use of the house. Currently we restrict only two spaces. The office with our personal papers and a large walk in wardrobe in the main bedroom. We provide wardrobes and hangers for you so there's no loss of amenity and there's a large table for you get the laptop out. Wifi is available.
On occasions writers or others have asked for use of the office and we're happy to provide this with a bit of notice. This has an additional cost.
Interaction with guests
We're super keen that you have a great stay. So while we respect your privacy we are on hand by phone or email if you need help or advice. We are not on site but not far away if needed.
Other things to note
A new secondary school has been built nearby. It's a great addition to the community and offers access to their sporting facilities.
We want all guests to enjoy their stay so we're not big on rules, we just ask that you treat our house with loving care. It is our home that we're sharing.
From Jul 27 - Aug 31, 2018 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
