A top AirBNB experience! Paqui is wonderful. The place feels like a bed and breakfast, very professional. The room was some comfortable and well decorated. The bathroom was spotless. The location could not be better and the view from the roof top is amazing. Paqui was so informative. I will note, Paqui used an air freshener in the room, but if you don't like that chemical smell or are sensitive to it like me, you could tell her and she would happily not spray! FYI When looking for the place, look for the name because the address is not visible from the street!

We had a great stay here! This historical place is right in the middle of the old town, you can't get a better location. We enjoyed walking and visiting the many restaurants and churches and monuments. Watch the sunset from the public balcony next to the castle or have a sunset drink at the Parador. The cozy room is great with a private terrace and you can have access to the rooftop terrace if you'd like (overlooking all of Arcos and the cliffs below). If you drive a car there, it is very, very tight in the old town. You need a small vehicle and parking at the main Parador lot is the only nearby option, however if it is full, you may need to loop back down to the new town and 15 minute walk up (or take a brief taxi). We arrived near sunset so the lot was full and added some stress. But once settled in (with Paqui's son's great patience at our parking issues), we enjoyed the place, walking the streets at night for dinner and drinks, then a peaceful morning and quiet breakfast in the quiet old town before all of the tour groups start showing up. With limited English, you should know some basic spanish or french to best communicate with Paqui and her husband.

Wonderful! This is located near the Plaza de Cabildo where there is a wonderful view, out down into the plains. And it's easy to situate yourself when the AirBnb is so close to a large church that you can spot virtually anywhere in Arcos! We were welcomed by Paqui and with my shoddy Spanish we were able to talk about restaurant recommendations (Los Murales is great, the owner is super friendly and the food is wonderful), the parking situation in Plaza de Cabildo (free on sundays but need to pay every two hours otherwise; Paqui had a 24-hour ticket for 5EUR for purchase for us starting at noon the next day), and viewing the rooftop terraces (two! one for each side!!) with her son who knows English and who discussed some histories of the sights. We were also welcomed with glasses of freshly made frozen coffee drink that Paqui made for us fresh (for the 100F day, hot!)! Really nice - and the little sitting area was nice with plants and ceramics. One gripe would be cleanliness - found some tiny ants in the bed and the floors were a bit dusty, but bathroom is spotless. A cleaning lady did come the next day to make the bed and clean the bathroom again. A/C works great, and in addition to the rooftop terraces we even had our own private one to sit and chat in :) Great value! The nicest people, really made the check in process friendly and welcoming, recommended good food and good walks to take, and helped us get situated with a smile every day and an "hasta luego" when we left.

This room provided a good value and location to see the sights for our one night stay in Arcos. The room was clean, quiet, and the rooftop terrace nice. We chose to park in Plaza De Espana and are glad we did. I have stayed at many Airbnb rooms but this is my first trip overseas booking Airbnb. My only complaint was the language barrier and lack of communication from the host.

Paque and her husband Juan are one of the kindest hosts you can imagine. Their thoughtfulness showed through in so many small ways, despite us not understanding Spanish. Juan's family has inhabited this historic home for 5 generations since 1847. The panoramic views from their terrace is spectacular to say the least. They shared some great restaurant recommendations with us. Public parking is 2 min away from their place. We'd definitely want to stay there again!

Paqui is a very kind, friendly and helpful person. The Casa Rural is located in the very centre of the old town, being a traditional building itself. We found everything in our room that we expected, and everything worked fine. As the weather was not that good, we couldn’t use neither the private terrace nor the roof terrace very much – certainly a pity.
