The space

How many people can say they've stayed in a tipi? You can! The tipis are 20 feet in diameter and inside you have all the comforts of home. There are beds, chairs, table, lanterns and a heater as well as linens and towels. You can sit on your deck and enjoy the rushing of the Shoshone river, cook on your own fire pit or enjoy swapping stories with your neighbors at the community fire pit. You can enjoy the looking up at the beautiful night sky without the light pollution from the city and marvel at the vastness of the night stars.

Guest access

You, and only those in the tipis, have access to the Shoshone river banks. You also have access to our new and clean laundry facilities and bathroom/showers. There is a playground for the little ones and everyone can enjoy fishing in our fully stocked pond.

Interaction with guests

We request an approximately check in time so we can be sure to greet you and take you to your tipi. We like to show our guests how to use the heater in the event it gets chilly at night.

You should stay here! The tipis are beautiful and their location adds to the feeling of being in a Native American encampment. We loved seeing all the stars at night and listening to the river from just a few steps outside the luxuriously appointed suite. This definitely was one of the high points of our trip!

The tipi was beautiful and right on the river. Be prepared for bugs though. We woke up and there were tiny black bugs all over our bed and luggage. Other than that we had a great time.

Just returned from our road trip around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We stayed in the Rainbow Trout tepee for one night of our trip. originally thought it was one of the tepees right on the river, but I received and email and a phone call to let me know that out tepee would actually be by the pond instead. She wanted to make sure that was okay. She assured me that the furnishings were the same and that this tepee was actually closer to the bathrooms-- sounds good to me! When we arrived we actually preferred this area to the other! Our tepee was set higher that the others, but still overlooking the river and we were indeed, MUCH closer to the bathrooms. There was also only one neighboring tepee in this location, As compared to a entire row of them in the other location. Check-in was easy. You weren't allowed to drive down to the tepee since a previous tenant got their van stuck down there or something, so it was kind of a pain to lug everything down, but we survived. They did offer to drive our luggage down on a quad, but we weren't ready yet. We also thought there were only two bathrooms with showers originally, but in the morning we found that there were a few more in the back of the building. The bed was very comfortable and there was even a futon if you have more guests. There was a heater, which we definitely used-- in August! Nights are very cold but we were very comfortable in the tepee! There was a little table and towels were provided as well. The Sunrise was beautiful! Free coffee in the morning was nice as well. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended this place to others. Loved it! How often does a Jersey girl get to sleep out west in a tepee?!
