We are just on the Wicklow Way, 10 mins by foot from the trails. Laragh village 5 mins walk. Glendalough monastic site 30 min walk. It is right on the river, the noise of which will lull you to sleep. It's quiet, romantic, warm and cosy; a spectacular area, all at your door step. This is an independent one bedroom studio with great shower and cooking facilities. own front door, wifi and no tv and freddy the cat is around. better to come with a car as buses are infrequent

The space

The two beds are generous. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has a good sized shower. Heating is electric and warm with a constant ambient temperature. No cloths washing facilities. Dogs are not encouraged unless you make a special request. There is a resident cat in main house and sheep in the area. There is no tv .There is good wifi/internet. This is a very comfortable space with bed and living area all together.

Guest access

The studio is separate to the main house with its own front door. Main house on the grounds where owners live.

Interaction with guests

If you need advice about local walks, places to eat, things to do, I am pleased to help you.

Other things to note

The studio is in the heart of the Wicklow National Park, so a great jumping off point for local exploration and walking, glendalough monsatic site, glenmalure, macreddin village, avoca hanweavers, Russborough House and much more. It is also about a 45 minute drive to Dublin City (depending on traffic) so you can take lots of interesting day trips from the studio besides being exhausted by the endless beautiful hikes.

Clodagh's place is secluded and cozy, which is exactly what we were looking for. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our stay. Clodagh also has a deli just down the street, which is perfect for lunch or tea/coffee. Highly recommend this spot for a quiet stay in beautiful countryside.

What a fantastic location right next to the trails in Glendalough. Clodagh is an exceptional host and her cakes and soups at the Glendalough Green cafe are just what you want after a nice walk. Beautiful weekend away!

We had such a great time at Clodagh's place! The perfect spot if you love a good hike in a picturesque place with lots of good food options around. Nice and quiet, comfortable accomodations with a lovely friendly cat on the property as well. Clodagh's recommendations on things to do were spot on and appreciated. She is a great host. Would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful, quiet little house right next to a river, and very close to the Wicklow Way, so it would work for hikers. Everything you would need is there. Cozy!

Clodagh is a superb hostess who made sure everything was perfect. She runs a great cafe within walking distance. The place itself is beautiful, modern and stocked with all the essentials if you want to cook. A mountain stream is yards away, and Glendalough monastery is just down the road with loads of trails to explore. I can't rate this place highly enough.

Coldagh was a welcoming and cheerful host and the place is cosy, comfortable and quiet. The location is great for access to walks and monuments. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back when the river below the house is swimmable!
