Horrendous from start to finish. Booked cabin a month in advance, not realising the spring weather would be so cold and wet. Tried to cancel the stay and opted to continue my drive north towards Niagara instead. Linda would not allow cancellation as this would 'hurt' her host sta…

Response from Linda:
Though I feel badly for their poor planning "not realising the spring weather would be so cold and wet" and not heeding my first impression that "this would not be a good fit for them", he went ahead and booked it. I even recommended a hotel in town so he could be still be 1/2 way on his travels. When he refused to pay for the second person I still let him have a $15 rate for two people. I let him know my host was tied up with family for her religious holiday but she would have it unlocked. She was going to meet them and give them a choice of the cabin or trailer. They had no camping gear so I don't know how they thought they were to stay warm since we have it on the site that it has no running water, nor heat, no linens. When he asked about beds I said neither place had a bed only a mattress. He asked me twice for me to cancel which I could not do without hurting my airbnb status but he could ask to cancel and I could approve without penalty. I am trying to revive an old trailer which has been closed up most of the winter, no running water to clean with and water stains everything red from the iron not "blood" as the girl thought. Read the site and all reviews before booking. Perhaps he mixed reviews from my Airbnb in Massachusetts with the camp in PA. Hope they had better accomodations for the snow day in Niagara where they were heading.

This location is like the best of western-PA. If a backwoods deer camp and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water House had a child this would be it. Plus you have a kindly neighbor bringing you fresh duck eggs. Also they have like the iPhone of composting toilets. Bring your own fir…

It’s exactly as described, a quaint place to stay dry. The overnight temp dropped to 16 degrees. The stove is big, but most of it is buried inside a large brick fireplace. I would suggest banking your fire halfway towards the front of the stove so most of the heat doesn’t escape …

You cannot beat the price! It is an adorable little space and beautiful property, definitely a gem. I booked fairly last minute and Linda was very accommodating and Judy was able to stop by and let me know about the cabin - both very sweet people. I was surprised how close to …

Linda's cabin was the perfect 2-night getaway from city life. I was here at the end of February/early March. If you go in the winter bring plenty of wood and lots of layers! It's definitely rustic & that's exactly what I was looking for. Loved it!

I enjoy being active, working in my yard, picking flowers, cooking or baking especially to share with others. I love kayaking for the nature I see and the tranquility it brings. One day I saw two baby beavers only a yard away from my kayak and it made my day. They sounded like …
