Cody Trout Ranch Camp offers a truly unique vacation experience. You can rent and stay in one of our 20 foot fully furnished glamping tepees on the picturesque Shoshone river bank. We offer campfire pits with a cooking grate, picnic tables and a community fire pit for sharing your days adventures and cooking s'mores. There are new laundry facilities and clean bath/shower facilities. Catch Trout!

The space

How many people can say they've stayed in a tipi? You can! The tipis are 20 feet in diameter and inside you have all the comforts of home. There are beds, chairs, table, lanterns and a heater as well as linens and towels. You can sit on your deck and enjoy the rushing of the Shoshone river, cook on your own fire pit or enjoy swapping stories with your neighbors at the community fire pit. You can enjoy the looking up at the beautiful night sky without the light pollution from the city and marvel at the vastness of the night stars.

Guest access

You, and only those in the tipis, have access to the Shoshone river banks. You also have access to our new and clean laundry facilities and bathroom/showers. There is a playground for the little ones and everyone can enjoy fishing in our fully stocked pond.

Interaction with guests

We request an approximately check in time so we can be sure to greet you and take you to your tipi. We like to show our guests how to use the heater in the event it gets chilly at night.

My family and I were traveling through Yellowstone. We decided to stay a night in Cody and instead of a hotel stayed in a teepee. It was the best choice we could have made :). The teepees are very comfortable and heaters kept us warm all night, the night sky was amazing and it's right by the river so it was probably the best sleep we had on the trip. I would certainly consider staying there again next time around.

We loved the idea of staying in the teepee but unfortunately it rained the entire time that we were there. The river is beautiful and I'm sure we would have had a great time if the weather had been good. The teepee was spacious with a comfortable bed.

The pictures say it all, stay in a Tepee and fall asleep listening to the rushing river just a few feet from your "front door"! Enjoy the location and aesthetic of camping but with all the comforts of a hotel. The beds are tempur-pedic, have plenty of blankets, and a space heater (although we didn't even need it in mid September with lows in the 50's). We we're surprised how spacious it was inside. You could easily sleep another 2 or 3 people using the futon and pullout couch/cot. Porta-john's are a short walk from the tepees but the bathrooms up by the office are worth the trip, you'll feel right at home. Had a great time starting up the community bon fire and making some friends and exchanging stories about Teton and Yellowstone National Park. We'll be back, next time with a group!

It was a great experience. The details in the site were right on. You get to see the sunset and sunrise. And the noise of the river made you sleep pretty deep. We had a excellent time

Carolyn, We are so glad you chose to stay with us...I am so sorry to hear that on your last nights stay that you were kept awake by some other Tipi clients, we post Quiet hour after 10pm in the packet that we go over with you when checking in, as well as circle our Camp Host number in the event you have any problems after hours. I certainly wish we could have addressed it that evening for you to make your last night as pleasant as the other nights. Thank you again for staying with us.

This is an amazing experience for those who want to go camping without all the mess of camping. The best part was you can hear the river at night while you lay in bed!!!! My biggest concern was would I have a clean place to shower and I found the bath house to be clean and convenient. The host was also very responsive and gave great advice about the area. I would stay here again (and I hate camping which says a lot).

The tipi accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and the location is great. You can trout fish from a stocked pond on site and keep the fish to cook and eat for $5 each, which is cool. Access down to the river is very steep and narrow however, and the showers are a long way from the tipis (too far and too steep to walk). You also share the showers with the RV park, and they can get busy.
