Fold out couch in lounge for extra 2. Many herbs in garden and choice of 4 bikes to use. Enjoy the fire pit and BBQ in the courtyard or fireplace in the lounge. The space

It is a lovely experience to stay at this Bendigo BnB. Access to entire house and of a Queen size bedroom. Heaps of room, all facilities supplied and great vibe. Fantastic entertaining courtyard for heaps of fun. Use the BBQ under the huge umbrella while enjoying the fire pit or read a book and fall asleep in the hammock.
Bendigo is a beautiful city with historical buildings and friendly feel. Your host Michele will suggest the best places to visit and eat, and will give you a tour of the town if you like. There are a number of attractions - Chinese museum including the dragons - Loong and Sun Loong, the longest dragon in the world which make a public appearance at the very popular Easter Festival. Also, the Atisha Center and Great Stupa which is soon to become the most significant Buddhist temple in the world. Take the Underground Goldmine tour (a 2 minute walk away); visit the Pottery where you can throw your own pot (10 minute drive) and browse many antique shops all within walking distance. There is a strong music culture in Bendigo with the Bendigo Blues and Roots festival in early November and live bands performing at many venues throughout the year - some of which are just a short stroll away. If you'd prefer a quiet night in, enjoy a movie from a huge selection on the 42 inch 3D TV with over 700 movies, documentaries and TV shows to choose from or board games, totem tennis or cards. You won't be bored!

Guest access

A choice of 3 bicycles available to enjoy a cruise around the city, high speed Wi-Fi internet, full kitchen and laundry facilities with dryer. Guests can come and go at their leisure as there is a key box available 24/7 at the front door for access to the house.

Interaction with guests

I am usually available to pick you up if you arrive by train or if you enjoy a walk, it's only 15 minutes away. I am very easy to get along with and love to share a glass of red, but will respect your privacy during your stay if you'd prefer. There is a shared bathroom with a bath, shower and Laundry. Clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, linen and soap are supplied. There are 2 very polite and well trained dogs that live on the property. They can either keep you company or stay outside where you will not be bothered by them, depending on your preferences. Having said this, I am open to having you bring your pet for a holiday. My dogs are very well socialised and calm and often bring the best behavior out in other dogs.

Other things to note

There is tea and coffee and a kettle, microwave and toaster. Jams, bread, honey etc are available for breakfast but also a full pantry is up for grabs if you like to cook. You are welcome to any of the many herbs and veges you find in the garden and to use the gas stove and fan forced oven. We are pet friendly and have 2 extremely well behaved and quiet dogs living here who add a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere to our home. They will love you immediately but also know to leave you alone if asked.

I make it easy for guests to recycle and compost, and invest in only palm oil free, natural and/or biodegradable products where I can. I have many herbs growing in the manicured garden and some vegetables and fruit trees. Vegans, Vegetarians, Gluten Free and health conscious are welcome and catered for.

Great stay. I booked about 230 PM on the night I wanted to stay. Michele accepted my booking despite not being out of town on business. Communication was brilliant and I couldn't have asked for more.

If you go to Bendigo and don't stay here - you're truly missing out. Staying at Michele's was like being at an old friend's house. Her dog is super relaxed and affectionate and Michele is gracious and generous with her beautiful home. I wanted for nothing and was sad to leave. My little poodle and I will be back x

I am an enthusiastic gardener and have been getting creative with my 'upcycling' with the addition of some household items to create a sense of excitement and character around the property made from pallets, old tools and vintage clothing. I also love my dog and as she is so well behaved, I am happy for anyone to bring their own dog to stay with them.
