A beautiful stylish apartment with everything you could think of and spotlessly clean. The décor is amazing and very homely too. Carlos was a great host even though we didn't meet he kept in contact by text and gave us loads of advice for great beaches, walks and places to go. The only slight thing was the noise from the café/bar below the apartment but otherwise a wonderful holiday.

My wife and I stayed at Carlos’s home in the historic district of La Palma for 7 days in October. The place is fantastic. My wife says that it is the nicest place she has ever stayed in away from home! The reviews and pictures are accurate. This is a restored 17th century home that has been done with great taste and style. The location is excellent for exploring La Palma. There is free parking nearby at the pier. We give Carlos’s home our highest recommendation. It is the nicest AirBNB we have ever stayed in.

Carlos 's place is a palace. All I can say really is if you want a beautiful place to stay you should stay here . This is the best apartment in Santa Cruz in La Palma . The attention to detail, the cleanliness was 5 star . We could not believe the space and how beautiful it looked on arrival . If you think the pictures look good the apartment is 100 times better . Carlos was a great host , just a phone call away if we needed advise on something . Location was brilliant for what we needed. Restaurants and bars just a stones throw away and there is a beach just opposite . If ever anyone comes to Santa Cruz you will not be disappointed if you stay here if anything you will want to come back . Thanks again Carlos for your generosity. Joanna Macaulay

All the other reviews are spot on - Carlos's place is AMAZING. We spent 3 nights there in May. Apart from one day exploring the island, we didn't actually spend that much time outside of the apartment because it has absolutely everything you need. The kitchen is state of the art and there is a great surround sound system too. The sea view is beautiful and there is a Spar (which is very reasonable) nearby so we could cook for ourselves instead of eating out all the time because I think that could get a little repetitive. All in all, we couldn't recommend this place enough and think that Carlos is completely deserving of his super host status!

I will start with my only negative comment - If you stay at Carlos' place, you will find all the other places disappointing. You will be spoiled staying here. Now on to the positive. The pictures do not lie. The place is really as beautiful in person. It is cozy, warm and homey - without feeling you are living in someone else's home. The kitchen is well appointed with complete appliances and all the essentials. The wooden island counter served as a good central activity area where we ate, worked, and conversed. (The tap in the island sink did not work but we only needed to use the large main sink anyway.) The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Sheets, pillows, towels are clean and smelled fresh. In addition to the L-sofa, there's a futon facing the window which gets the morning sun - great place to sit and read, or for siesta. Location is good too - not at the busiest part of the town, but close to it. Everything is a 2 minute walk away - shops, cafes, ATM. A small grocery store (Spar) is just about a 100m away. We hated leaving this place... Our host Carlos is very accommodating. He knew we were newlyweds and so he left a bottle of cava and white wine to help us celebrate. On the island counter there were croissants, assorted bread, and fruits waiting for us. Truly a warm welcome. Throughout our stay, Carlos communicated with us to answer our questions, offer recommendations, and to ensure our stay in la Palma is pleasant. And it truly was.
