The space

It's my home! My husband -who is a painter, you can see his work on the walls - and I live there when the apartment is not rented. So you feel at home. It's a a small building, with a majority of owners, my apartment is the only one rented with Airbnb.

Guest access

The entire apartment will be yours (except a closet in the hall and an other one in the bedroom) : a large living room (about 50m2) with a sofa bed, a kitchen very well equipped, separated toilet, bathroom with shower and bath, a lot of towels, and a large bedroom (35m2). A large closet in the bedroom and drawers for your clothes.

We spent a week in this charming, comfortable apartment feeling very much at home. It is extremely well located within walking distance of the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay, near St Germain des Pres and close to metro and bus stops. There are good restaurants in the area and boulangeries and a Monoprix nearby. There are a number of galleries in the area that are interesting to browse and of course the St Germain area is great for window shopping and cafes. Our host, France-Marie, had sent us clear instructions on getting to the apartment and was waiting to meet us on our arrival. There were flowers on the table and bread, butter and milk in the fridge. We had everything we needed for our stay. We would happily stay in this apartment again on a future trip to Paris.

France-Marie home is exactly as described. It is on a very quiet street but very convenient for quick food shopping at Monoprix and we founds several fine restaurants nearby on Rue du Bac. France-Marie was readily available when we had questions about rebooting the TV or finding the location of the outdoor trash bins. One minor note: we visited in mid-sept during an early cold snap and learned that the building does not begin to heat till Oct 1. France-Marie provided a small but inadequate space heater for our use. Overall we were very pleased and would likely stay there again.

France-Marie's apartment is large, comfortable, and very conveniently located on a quiet street near both rue du Bac and St. Germain metro stations, within easy walking distance of the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. It is very much a lived-in home, serviceable but not stylish or modern, filled with books and odds and ends, as well as lots of her husband's paintings (and art supplies), and anything else you might need for a week's stay. France-Marie was waiting to welcome us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know. Wifi is passable but slow. Plenty The neighborhood is filled with good cafes, restaurants, and bakeries, and there is a grocery near-by.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It is convenient to everything, in a quiet neighborhood but I just steps away from many restaurants and cafés. We had no problems at all with noise and felt safe And comfortable. The apartment is large and comfortable and beautifully decorated with art and plants . The kitchen is spacious with plenty of cookware and utensils. It is much more comfortable to stay in such an apartment then it would be to stay in a hotel in my opinion. Further, while we were just a couple traveling together there was a sofa bed that could accommodate another person or two . It was easy to get around from that location, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to visit again. The hostess was very helpful and speaks excellent English, And made us feel welcome and her lovely home.

Place us functional but in need of upgrading. Bathroom can be difficult fir those with mobility issues. There are handrails but still one must be careful. Place is big but cluttered. A little like staying in a flea market. It's central and very quiet for sleeping at night. We walked everywhere. France-Marie is nice, speaks good English and us responsive. So some good some bad!
