We had a friendly welcome and were picked up from the train station which was great! Comfy bed, but the bedroom door wouldn't close properly and we didn't feel we had privacy.

Had a nice stay. Quirky/arty house, adorable cats, comfortable bed. And the host, Isabelle, was very informative. Would recommend!

We had an awesome stay with Isabelle! She took us to a really cool little festival in the countryside the night that we got in and drove us to one of the landing sites from d day. She and her family were very welcoming and we even got to play with her 2 week old kitten. The house was charming but a little bit tight. Worked fine for us but not the best if you're looking for something extremely private. If you want a great family with lots of personality, stay here!

My husband and I spent two nights with Isabelle, while visiting France. Her place is on a quiet side street, and we were able to park our rental car in her gated driveway. The room was roomy, and the bed, although on a low platform...maybe 6" off the ground, was super comfortable, as were the pillows, and the linens colorful and cozy. My best two nights of sleeping out of 15 days of travel. We slept with the skylight open and got a nice breeze. Two small desks, and rolling desk chairs for seating. Walk up two flights of narrow, winding steps to room. Very small WC room on our floor, and shower (shared) one floor down. These accommodations were functional. The garden is very small, and we spent no time in it. She has a nice-sized patio with tables and chairs where we sat with Isabelle, plotting our touristing. Location was off the beaten path, which was nice for sleeping. There was a bakery, restaurant, bank and store nearby...but most of what anyone would want to see is a bit of a hike. Isabelle made a "wine cooler" (for lack of a better description) for us the first day, and got out maps and answered questions and made suggestions. Her English sometimes failed her, but we were able to get all the information we needed. We took advantage of bottle opener and fridge for our beverages. Towels were provided. Overall this was a good experience. We made the reservation just a couple days before arrival, and Isabelle was quick with responses and directions.

We enjoyed Isabelle's lovely home. It is conveniently just minutes away from center of Caen and made it easy for us to hop on the loop highway to go to other places. Being able to use the lovely garden is a plus (especially with the cute kittens there). Room is cozy but lovely.

Isabelle is a very friendly, relaxed, and welcoming person. Even though we only stayed one night in Caen, she made an effort to spend time with us and introduce us to her friends. She also gave us some recommendations for restaurants and bars, and information about travelling around the city. The room was basic but clean, cosy, and the bed very comfortable. Her house is a lovely size, and in a pleasant residential neighbourhood a short tram ride away from the city centre. Overall we had a great stay, and would definitely come back to stay with Isabelle again!!

Isabelle was very sweet and hospitable. We really loved staying with her and had a nice time. The room is on the third floor and very private. The shower had great water pressure and was warm. The room was a bit cold though. You might want to have a blanket if you get cold easily. Isabelle was so accommodating. She made us coffee every morning and is willing to chat and get to know you. She also lent us plate, cups, flatware, etc when we brought home take away, which was very nice and something we did not expect! Thank you Isabelle!
