Beautiful view, enormous home, we definitely enjoyed our stay. To follow up on some other reviews; it is walkable to the city, a pretty easy 10 min walk down (tip: hang a left out of the front gate, a left at the first alley just past the house, follow the path until you come the the alley and walk down to the city). The walk back up is grueling, but the taxis are cheap. Tip: Tell them to take you to the Casa Grande on the Panoramica near the Pipila and they should get you close. We had had water in all the showers. C is hot in Mexico and it takes like 10 minutes for it to heat up. The beds are on the firm side, and things are indeed a bit outdated but the house is huge and such a great place for a larger group to stay. The view is beautiful. The full court basketball was quite a surprise. Your not coming to Guanajuato to stay at a 4 Seasons (are you?) if you are then you better stay at one of the nice hotels in the city. If you want to get the experience of a local then renting a house like this is a great way to be together with your family and enjoy the city for what it is, a beautiful decaying cultural extravaganza.

We really enjoyed our stay in the house, there was plenty of room for everyone and the views were phenomenal. However, our stay could have been more comfortable. We did have an issue with electricity going out in the upstairs one morning, and our gas went out one day. The rooms were also a little hot but we really appreciate the owners bringing in fans for us. We also had problems with leaks due to rain. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this house to others. Any problems that we had were quickly addressed, so that was very helpful. We would definitely stay on our next visit.

The house has the most amazing views of the city day and night and a great location! Pablo was very communicative and Gabriela met us for check-in and checkout. They were both very friendly and Gabriela even welcomed us with a bowl of nuts! They provided us with drinking water and great Wifi! The house is a mansion with a beautiful exterior with its own private chapel, basketball court and several levels of gardens, an indoor garden and a non-functioning indoor water fountain. The inside is very run down and there was scaffolding setup to repair a broken glass ceiling dome. We used the 3 spacious bedrooms facing the city and it was a beautiful view to wake up to!! The table and four chairs on the balcony on the second level were the best reason to rent the house! Watched the sunrise and sunset from there! Simply beautiful!! The house is a 10 min downhill walk to El Callejon del Beso through the stairs right against one side of the house and about 15 min steep walk back up. We felt safe walking up at midnight. There are two grocery stores on the other side of the house. Some issues to consider when renting: It was a very hot weekend but only one room had a fan. None of the three bathrooms we used had hot water and all four of us had to use the one shower downstairs. The décor and furniture is extremely outdated, and furniture fabrics could use a cleaning. Two of the bedroom doors did not close and we had to place chairs against them. The sliding balcony doors were very difficult to operate. The house was not clean in some parts: we found hair in the shower upstairs and dead cockroach in the shower downstairs. There were minimal soaps and shampoo, definitely bring your own. They could have used more towels and updated linens. The inconveniently located TV did not work. Some of the lights did not work. It could definitely have a haunted feeling with all the empty unmaintained rooms. But the hosts were friendly and oh did I mention that the view is just stunning!!

Their house is huge and gorgeous. We were amazed by the design of the house and it's perfect location very close to Pipila. The hosts are super nice and help us plan our trips. Truly amazing people and place to stay. Two additional notes: Since the house is really big so if you are afraid of empty large space, you need to think about it. And the hot water is small.
