Everything was great except the building is not in the best location. Almost nothing to do in the immediate area. Ubers are cheap but I would suggest finding a place in the Old Quarter or West Lake. The room itself is simple but nothing about the place itself is bad. Kiehmanh is awesome and helpful.

Kiemanh is a good enough guy, nice and helpful. He doesn't live close so I tried not to bug him unnecessarily. Hot water is hot, just don't turn off the unlabeled switch to the water heater. TV and WiFi work although WiFi may come and go a little. Also I think the bed is probably too hard for most Americans but I think it's standard for Vietnamese. I would say it is as hard a bed as I can sleep on without bruising my hips. The space is good, big, open, enough light. But it is loud with traffic and horns honking, even from the 8th floor it sounds like you are on the street. Luckily there is a little store in the building and you can walk (about 15 min) to a local market. Lastly this area is not near any destination. No train, bus, monument, shopping, sightseeing, etc... and at least a 30 min ride to anywhere. All that said Kiemanh did his best for us. The price was right for staying at home and chilling, shopping at the local market and cooking our own meals.

Response from Kiemanh:
I am sorry for the wifi signal as the National internet cable in Vietnam crashes these days. The wardrobe is new and never be used so there would be not so good smell. I will fix it up for the next guests.
