The space
627 S. Paca St was originally built in 1845. It is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath, 2100sf loft-style row home that can sleep 8-10 people.

I purchased it and renovated it in 2004, and I lived there for two years prior to converting it to a fully furnished vacation rental.

Some guests have referred to it as their "Real World Baltimore" experience, referring to an old reality tv show with cool homes. Most others have said the photos just don't do it justice.

South Paca Street is located in Ridgley's Delight, a beautiful and quaint neighborhood on the west edge of downtown Baltimore adjacent to Camden Yards and just blocks from the Convention Center, M & T Bank Stadium and many other attractions. The Inner Harbor just under a mile away, and it is pleasant an easy walk.

This house is a 'loft' style. The basement is a private suite, both visually and audibly private. The bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor are visually private, but it is open such that noise from below can carry into these bedrooms.

Full Home. Self managed check in and check out process via lock boxes. Detailed written information is provided for arrival directions, check-in and check out processes to minimized questions and unknowns that are common when renting entire homes with self-check in processes.

Other things to note
Renting a home with a self check-in and self check-out process is much more so about a partnership between host and tenant for mutual benefit than it is a “service” as you might find in a hotel or even a traditional Bed and Breakfast. I enjoy this rental business a great deal when working with guests who view this type of rental in a similar manner.

I run this in a very business like manner with a self-managed check in & check out process.

As soon as you book via AirBNB I will ask for your email address. I will then send a single email with short supplemental contract. All you need to do is reply to that email as requested to ratify our agreement.

Included in that email is a link to my personal we-b-site that has all kinds of info about the home and the surrounding area that is helpful for planning your stay.

I prefer to do all communication with you after the initial booking via email. AirBNB is just one of several advertising channels for me and it is far easier to keep up with running dialogue via email than via these website specific email systems that don’t include prior dialogue with each volley of a conversation.

Several weeks prior to arrival you will get an email with 3 documents:

Doc (1) Directions to the Home - Very important because you will be entering through the back of the home and these take you to the alleyway that leads to the back of the home. They also ensure you don't accidentally go to North Paca Street and not South Paca Street and the lockbox combo is in this packet.

Doc (2) -- Check in Docs - all home related info (wifi, thermostats, extra linens, trash and recycling information, etc)

Doc (3) Check out docs - Expectations and a one page checklist to be completed, photographed and emailed upon check out.

You are expected to PRINT and READ these documents, and you are expected to bring a printed copy with you for your stay. With your own set of printed documents, any digital technology glitches you encounter on your trip to my home won't create problems for your with the self-check in process.

Also, please share these docs with anyone not travelling with you so they too are prepared with everything the need for a smooth self check in process.

People who appreciate details love my documents. These documents have been used and appreciated by hundreds of non AirBNB guests successfully for over a decade, so they are well tested and seldom do I get any questions. Unfortunately, several of my initial AirBNB guests didn’t seem to feel the instructions for printed docs applied to them and we are running into some small issues, so I’m making this more prominent here in my profile.

I do consider groups in for Girl and Guy weekends, birthday party weekends and even Bachelor/Bachelorette parties. BUT, please be sure you are prepared to be personally responsible for everyone in your party both in my home and around my neighborhood when they are both sober and not sober. If you are willing to take on that responsibility, please include something like "I am comfortable being responsible for all of my friends" in your inquiry or in response to my request for you to review this additional screening.
